A Walk.

Good day everyone, taking this opportunity to post this drawing along with some news on my life and updates on plans for the future of this patreon!

First things first: I have a new dog! Rescued him from the streets a month ago and being nurturing him back into health. According to the neighbors of the area where I found him, he was abandoned by a person who just didn’t want him anymore and didn’t let him get back to the house. He needed some basic treatment, shots and medication to help him with blood and liver issues. It’s been hard work but it fills me with joy to have a dog to care again after my beloved one passed away last year. I walk him every day early in the morning and at sunset because that summer Mexican can be really sizzling, and man can this dog walk, hence this drawing to portray those mornings.

On another subject, life has been…difficult for many reasons:

First is that I am a person who’s always willing to give a hand on family matters and boy they do need help often in various ways. My assistance doesn’t always go unappreciated but it does come with a heavy toll as some of these people just like to make me a target for their frustrations and pessimistic tendencies, that can get overwhelming at times, but it also affects my work schedule and there are days where I genuinely can’t sit down and get to work on my content.

Aside from being a helping hand in all sort of family matters, I’m also responsible for helping out my husband and his journey to become a citizen in my country, which hasn’t been easy in many many ways. Not to mention the difficulties of leaving everything behind to start a new life far away from home, your family and your culture…

Regarding patreon, there are things that need to be finished, starting with my comic with Richard. I started this comic more than a year ago with a vision in mind, but after a rather peculiar and somewhat questionable conversation with another artist, I ended up questioning my work and started experimenting and changing my way of drawing, and this definitely affected my way of working with the comic. Things feel more stable regarding my work and I want to finish this project and go back to make more strips with my other characters, not only Richard and his pups!

As always I’m very grateful that you guys have given me so much over these years! I’m so thankful for being able to create and grow because of your continuous support! After some big events that had happened here, things might not get more light and easy, but I’ll do my best to past this hurdle and continue to grow and create more!
