Prime Resolution 1.1.1
This pack has been such a journey for me, not only in the context of making it,
but the fact that in the process, I learned so many things that I did not know before.
This project has changed from one day to the other, it all started out so cartoonish, so simple.
Suddenly I was making textures at a resolution four times bigger than what I started with.
Prime Resolution is the representation of what happens when you let your imagination run.
Now if you didn't read the blog, what am I talking about? what is Prime Resolution?
Prime Resolution is a project that is meant to answer the question of 'what is "prime resolution" ', a concept that I've thought of for a few months.
The Prime resolution is a size that can provide enough context and density across the textures, a higher enough resolution loses shape due to the missing details, a low enough resolution loses consistency, the sweet spot of what is readable and also has enough detail to be fit in it's visual style is what I call prime resolution.
In short; The optimal texture resolution where detail, readability, and style are perfectly balanced.
This project was not meant to be realistic, but the more I worked on it, I learned the process of making a realistic texture that was consistent with the rest, so semi-realistic might be the theme.
The first version of this project is 1.1.1 (Year 1, Month 1, Week 1)
and it provides enough content to enjoy for a first release, the changelog might look a bit worrying and I've spent about 5 months working in this version to get the best off of it.
As for the available resolutions, the pack will support resolutions ranging x8 up to x256.
x8 is just a gimmick, and x256 is the original size.
My favorite is x16
