A Look Behind the Scenes — The New DLC for Fatima’s Lust v0.14

I wanted to give you a closer look at what I have been working on for the upcoming DLC for Fatima’s Lust v0.14, because this DLC has turned into one of the most technically demanding projects I have worked on so far.

I also want to take a moment to introduce someone who has played an important role in bringing this DLC to life.

A Special Thank You to Verrine

A significant part of the visual identity of this DLC has been developed with the help of Verrine, a writer and developer who worked on several important aspects of the characters and story.

Verrine has been responsible for developing and designing:

• Character clothing and outfits
• Hair styling and character appearance
• Makeup and visual details
• Part of the story scenes and narrative content

The setting we are creating requires a lot more attention to character presentation than usual.

The clothing in particular is highly detailed, with multiple layers, rich colors, accessories, jewelry, and historical-inspired elements. Getting the characters to look consistent and believable within the setting requires a great deal of preparation before I even start the final renders.

Verrine has put a lot of effort into these details, and her work has helped give the characters a much stronger visual identity.

I highly recommend checking out her Patreon and supporting her work as well:

A Completely Different Setting

This DLC takes us into a very different world from the usual environments in Fatima’s Lust.

The location has a rich royal and historical-fantasy atmosphere, with large luxurious interiors, detailed architecture, fountains, gardens, carpets, lanterns, fabrics, decorative walls, fireplaces, furniture, jewelry, and many other small elements.

One of the things I really wanted to capture was the visual style of the period itself.

Clothing from this kind of era was often extremely elaborate. It was not simply a matter of putting a character in a dress or robe.

There are multiple layers of fabric, embroidery, jewelry, accessories, ornaments, belts, hair details, makeup, and many other small elements that all have to work together.

That level of detail looks incredible when everything finally comes together.

But it also creates a serious technical challenge.

The Technical Challenge

My graphics card has 8GB of VRAM, and unfortunately, a large scene like this can easily exceed what the GPU can handle.

A single image may contain:

• A highly detailed background
• Multiple characters
• Detailed hair
• High-resolution clothing
• Jewelry and accessories
• Large amounts of environmental decoration
• Complex lighting and shadows
• High-resolution textures
• Additional props and objects

Trying to load everything into the scene and render it at once can push the VRAM far beyond its limits.

So instead of reducing the quality of the scene, I decided to take a different approach.

I Render Everything Separately.

Depending on the shot, I may divide the image into three or even four separate rendering stages.

For example, I might render the environment first.

Then I render one character separately.

Then another character.

And sometimes additional elements have to be rendered separately as well.

Each character can have its own high-resolution hair, clothing, accessories, skin textures, lighting setup, and other details.

Once the individual renders are finished, I bring everything into Photoshop and rebuild the final scene by combining all of these elements together.

This allows me to create a final image that would be extremely difficult—or sometimes impossible—for my current hardware to render as one complete scene.

Why Go Through All This Trouble?

Because I don't want to solve the hardware limitation by simply lowering the quality.

I want the DLC to feel like something special.

When you look at the final image, I want you to notice the atmosphere first—not the technical limitations behind it.

The goal is to produce the best image possible with the hardware and resources I currently have.

Around 50 High-Resolution Images Already Completed

The story portion of the DLC is now approximately 50 high-resolution images into production.

The majority of the important rendering work is already finished, and what remains is mainly a smaller amount of polishing, adjustments, compositing, and final corrections before everything is ready.

That means the DLC is no longer just an early experiment.

It is already taking shape as a complete story experience.

And honestly, seeing these scenes come together after spending so much time working on individual characters, environments, lighting, clothing, and compositing has been incredibly rewarding.

Quality Comes First

One of the things I have tried to maintain throughout the development of Fatima’s Lust is that every update should feel like a real improvement.

I know that development sometimes takes longer than expected.

I know that some updates require a lot of patience from everyone supporting the project.

But every time I sit down to work on a new scene, I try to ask myself the same question:

Can I make this better?

Can the environment look richer?

Can the characters look more detailed?

Can the lighting be improved?

Can the composition be stronger?

Can the final render look more cinematic?

That is what drives a lot of the extra work behind the scenes.

And This DLC Is Only Getting Started

There is still work to do before the DLC is completely finished, but I am very happy with the direction it is taking.

The combination of the new setting, the elaborate costumes, the environments, and the story has created something that feels very different from the previous content.

I hope these previews give you a better idea of what I have been working on—and also why some scenes take significantly more time than others.

When you see a final image with several characters standing inside a huge, highly detailed environment, remember that it may actually be the result of three or four separate renders carefully combined into one final scene.

And behind those characters, there is also a lot of work from Verrine, from designing their clothing, hair, and makeup to contributing to some of the story scenes.

That collaboration has helped me push the quality and presentation of this DLC further than I could have done alone.

Thank you for continuing to support Fatima’s Lust, and thank you to everyone who supports the people working behind the scenes.

Your support gives me the time and resources to keep improving the game and pushing the quality further with every update.

There is still a lot more to come.

And I can't wait to show you the final result. ❤️
