Hi, everyone! (TLDR at the bottom)

As all Superior Patrons already know, I opened an exclusive poll for Premium Patrons last week regarding some potential changes to both the Premium and Superior tiers. I chose not to include Superior Patrons in the poll because, as I mentioned in the original post, the proposed changes wouldn't have taken away any of your existing benefits. If anything, they would have only added value to your membership. On the other hand, the Premium Patrons were the ones who would have been directly affected by the changes, so I felt it was only fair that they had the deciding vote. Including Superior Patrons in that poll would have given additional votes to people who had little to no downside in the outcome, which didn't feel right to me.

That said, the original poll post is now available for everyone to read if you'd like to see the full context behind the proposal and understand what was being discussed.

Now for the results! Surprisingly, the final vote ended up being almost perfectly split. The difference between the two options was just a single vote, making it one of the closest polls I've ever held. While one option technically came out on top, such a narrow margin doesn't really feel like a strong enough consensus for me to completely overhaul the Premium Tier. Since so many people were divided on the idea, I don't feel comfortable making such a significant change when nearly half of the voters preferred to keep things as they are.

However, one thing the poll did confirm for me was that I was already confident in making changes to the Superior Tier itself. After reading everyone's comments, suggestions, and concerns, I realized there was an opportunity to improve the overall tier structure in a way that wouldn't force anyone into changes they weren't happy with. Instead of simply implementing or rejecting the original proposal, I decided to step back and rethink the entire system from the ground up.

So... I've decided to give all of my Patreon tiers a complete makeover!

The goal is to make the progression between tiers feel much more natural, make the benefits clearer, and offer more options for different budgets without taking away the things that current patrons already enjoy. My hope is that this new structure gives everyone a tier that feels right for them, whether you're here to simply support my writing or you're looking for every bonus and exclusive I have to offer.

For current Premium Patrons

• Your benefits are safe! And you guys have two options:

  • Current Premium Patrons ($5) can opt to remain in their current tier with the same benefits as they have now, or

  • Upgrade to the new Elite Patron ($8) tier and gain an additional benefit: access to colored art monthly

• This tier will now have ❗limited slots❗

  • This means that cancelling your current Premium Patrons ($5) membership at any point after this is done might hinder you from resubscribing in the future since all slots might already be filled by then.

• Premium Patron monthly price will increase by a dollar (+$1) for new patrons only

  • Existing patrons will be charged the original pricing ♡

For current Superior Patrons

• Current Superior Patrons ($10) are ENCOURAGED to move their subscriptions over to Elite Patrons ($8) once these changes take effect. Your access, perks, and exclusive content will remain exactly the same.

Elle's Book Club ($10)

• If current Superior Patrons don't mind paying $10 a month (—ᴗ—) , you can stay in your current membership, which will now be renamed Elle's Book Club ($10)

• This tier will have❗ limited slots ❗

• Benefits will include

  • All current and future posts from previous tiers

  • COMING SOON: Exclusive access to updates and status on my upcoming books

  • COMING SOON: a free copy of one of my future projects: a complete rewrite of Rage With Benefits, which will be the same version of RWB that I will self-publish on paperback and ebook via Amazon! (fingers crossed)

  • COMING SOON: A chance to have a signed paperback print of RWB, especially if you are based near Nevada ♡

  • Again, these are all TBA, as in I am currently prioritizing completing OMWTY before getting into anything else. However, I'm doing my best to start working on new projects as early as September! Which I am very optimistic about as an unemployed bih with nothing else to do~

Other announcements

• Basic Patrons tier will be renamed "Classic Patrons"

• Beginner and Early Bird Patrons will have no modifications for now. (Love you guys tho!)

So there's that! I made all these decisions because I wanted to give those of you who want access to the monthly artwork without having to pay the $10/month price (not even counting taxes and Apple's goddamn extra fees. Seriously, fuck you, Apple).

If I could, I'd lower the prices even more. But your girl's moving to Las Vegas next month, and she needs a decent start-up budget to survive as a jobless ho for a little while.

TLDR

For current Premium Patrons ($5):

• Your current benefits are safe!

• You can either:

  • Stay in your current Premium tier with the same benefits, or

  • Upgrade to the new Elite Patrons ($8) tier and gain monthly colored art access.

• Premium will now have limited slots, so cancelling may mean you won’t be able to resubscribe later if slots fill up.

• New patrons will be charged the new price for this tier ($6)

For current Superior Patrons ($10):

• You are encouraged to move to Elite Patrons ($8).

• Your current benefits will remain the same, but at a lower price.

• If you’d still like to stay at $10, the tier will become Elle’s Book Club ($10) with limited slots and future exclusive perks, including:

  • Updates/status on upcoming books

  • A free copy of my future rewritten version of Rage With Benefits (TBA)

  • Possible signed paperback opportunities

For other patrons:

• Basic Patrons will be renamed to Classic Patrons.

• Beginner and Early Bird Patrons will remain the same for now ♡

BOTTOMLINE: There is no price increase for you guys (current patrons). Just a new tier and some modifications that in no way will negatively affect your current membership. Stay tuned for updates! ♡
