I'm glad to see Lucky has someone in his corner; the boy desperately needs it. I loved learning about Vex and Grauf; they seem like good sorts... well, Grauf does at least. Lucky's drive to stay despite so many things working against him hit me like a truck because I felt his struggle on a personal level. It does bring up the question: Is there a counselor of any sort in the core because Lucky needs some sort of guidance that isn't trying to sabotage him? I'm excited to see where the story goes next!
