In a world where property relations distinguish between those who possess—and those who possess nothing but their own labor—certain stark disparities emerge. One group resides in palaces or villas, wields political power, and need never worry about the means of their subsistence; the others... well, they graciously assist these chosen few by working on their behalf, living in dilapidated shacks, and wondering every single day whether they will have enough to eat tomorrow. In such a world, there are ample opportunities for heroes to ply their trade. Will they choose the arduous path—working for the poor for nothing more than gratitude and goodwill—or will they earn their keep as enforcers? Hunting down criminals driven to crime by poverty, guarding valuable shipments, forcing striking workers back to the job, and quelling popular uprisings! Heroic or Not?
