The voice actors in this were amazing, especially Gwen, but really all of the Cruxmont village. Neal was played to perfection as the angry asshole.

Is this story an adaption or inspired at all by “A Song for Lya” by George R. R. Martin? The major story beats are relatively similar With Neal taking on a similar role to Robb in that story and Gwen as Lya. Also, Old Cruxmont bears a striking similarity to the Greeshka in “A Song for Lya” both are a hive minded telepathic fungus that the elderly join when it is their time to die. I loved the story though! I look forward to more of them.
