In the first season, the mystery is quite fully explained, while this one is partially explained at most. One could argue for either approach. You are accomplished storytellers in my eyes -- I've listened to everything but the Boar Knight, which is just not my thing -- but this one I felt a little disappointed at the ending, the lack of closure and explanation. It's certainly more 'real' this way. I relate to Mel's choices, erring on the side of survival rather than rescue, and not sticking around for spooky supernatural evil to act directly on her or her sister.
I choose to believe that Ian's truck was full of silver, which having traveled across moving water, was totally cleansed. They move to the Toronto suburbs and buy a house. Maxine grows up to be a first chair concert violinist and Melody becomes a writer for a horror podcast.
The only possible conclusion :) And even if it were somehow cursed, they're not keeping the silver for more than a few hours.
Spoiler Warning 🚨 I’ve always loved the suspenseful storytelling and the sound design in these stories. The way the tension builds keeps me hooked every time. I’m especially glad that this time there was a happy ending for my two favorite sisters. So many of the other stories—while fantastic—ended on such a sad or haunting note. The endings were always spectacular, but it’s nice to have a happier one every now and then. Thank you for the amazing stories.
I wouldn't exactly say happy. It's sad, but hopeful. You can be hopeful and sad. I'm hopeful and sad.
I’ve really enjoyed this season (my first Dont Mind experience) such great performances and mystery … oh and the sound and atmosphere!
Dude, I'm so proud of them for not going back for thier dad.
Sooooo…..what was under the rock? I’m a little confused about this ending 😣
Well I think that's kind of the point, that He Who Under The Silver Sleeps remains a mystery.
