Sul sul simmers, the wait is over. The Parent-Child mod is finally here!

This mod adds an exciting twist to your gameplay! It centers on a parent who wants to start dating or remarry, but their child isn't too sure about it. You get to decide whether the child warms up to their parent's new relationship or continues to resist. With plenty of fun features, this mod brings a touch of realism, allowing for some entertaining drama and chaos along the way. Plus, it adds the possibility of the ex-partner becoming a bit of a troublemaker, wanting to meddle in the new relationship. Enjoy the journey of love and family dynamics!

There's 13 pie menu in this mod that will show up to each trait you add to your sim:

1- Parent-Child menu (Parent to child interactions)

This pie menu unlocks a brand new Parent-Child interaction menu, filled with exciting features. The parent can open up about a serious relationship they’ve recently started and share the big news with their child, hoping for a positive reaction and acceptance.

A brand-new gameplay trait for parents: "Guilt Parenting". You can add it through cheats or unlock it through the interaction "Talk About Feeling Guilty"
This feature brings a whole new Guilt Parenting pie menu under Parent-Child, adding more depth, emotion, and storytelling to your gameplay.

This interaction under the "Complaint" menu also works as a reset, giving you the option to remove all traits without using cheats, so you can easily adjust your story whenever you want.

2- Parent-Child menu (Child to Parent interactions)

A new Parent-Child pie menu will be introduced, which will appear between the child and their parent. This menu will facilitate discussions that encourage the child to learn more about their parent's new relationship. It will also unlock the possibility for the child to accept or reject the new partner.

The cheat trait menu:

There will be interactions that allow your Sim child to make choices on their own (I will share this below), as well as a new cheat method to select their preferences regarding acceptance. Additionally, this new Step-Child trait will introduce new interactions to the parent-child menu, along with a new pie menu between the child and the new or potential step-parent.

This will be added to the child Sim’s Parent-Child menu when they have the “Step-Parent Accepted” hidden trait:

This will be available in the Parent-Child conversation when the "Step-Parent Not Accepted" trait is added, either automatically or through a cheat:

The child can also express a heartfelt wish for an adult friend to become their step-parent, giving you the freedom to shape your story however you like. Whether it’s sweet, hopeful, or a little emotional, this interaction adds a special touch to your gameplay and lets you create meaningful moments between your Sims.

3- Step-Parent:

The "Express regret" in interaction is meant to remove the trait "Step-Parent Not Accepted" in case you don't want to use the cheat menu

The Step-Parent pie menu unlocks for the child toward the step-parent, opening the door to arguments, tantrums, and emotional reactions when tensions rise.

Jealousy may take over as the child feels like the step-parent is stealing their parent’s attention

This will appear for a Step-Child with the “Step-Parent Accepted” hidden trait (Child to Step-Parent), allowing you to explore a more loving, supportive, and heartwarming family dynamic instead of drama:

The Step-Parent to Step-Child conversation allows the step-parent to reach out, trying to build trust and form a bond. They make an effort to connect with the child and reassure them that they are not there to replace their parent, but to be part of their life, and maybe become friends

4- New Partner:

This interaction links the family dynamic by adding the “Parent-Child” trait to the parent and the “New Partner/Step-Parent” trait to their partner, setting the stage for new relationships and interactions.

This will also appear for the non-married partner under the "New Partner" pie menu, reminding them that their partner is a parent and adding more depth to your storytelling.

These interactions are available between the Parent-Child and the New Partner, creating meaningful conversations that bring your family gameplay to life. They allow Sims to check in on how the partner is adjusting and open up about their place within the family.

Each moment adds more depth, emotion, and new moodlet options, making every interaction feel more real, dynamic, and full of storytelling possibilities.

A brand-new interaction from the “New Partner” to the partner (Parent-Child) brings even more drama into your game. When feeling rejected or pushed aside, the partner can express their feelings or have an emotional outburst, revealing just how hard it’s been trying to fit into the family

These new pie menus bring family drama and complex situations into your game. Whether the step-parent is trying to step in with the child’s education or discipline, it opens the door to tension, conflict, and deeper storytelling moments

The Family Drama pie menu interactions:

5- Step-Sibling

This pie menu is designed for step-siblings, created when a parent remarries a Sim who already has a child. Your little Sim may suddenly find themselves with a step-sibling they never wanted… or maybe the sibling they always needed if they were an only child.

The “Get to Know Step-Child” interaction automatically adds the “Step-Sibling” hidden trait while guiding your child Sim’s reaction. In this moment, they begin to decide whether to accept and bond with their new step-sibling… or not. (you can always use cheat to choose)

6- Siblings

This pie menu is available when your child Sim has a sibling, allowing them to open up about their feelings toward the step-parent and even call them a "step-monster"

7- Bio Parent

This interaction appears between the biological/other parent and their child (with the Step-Child trait), where the parent becomes nosy and starts digging into their ex’s personal and love life, adding tension, curiosity, and drama to your storytelling

This interaction lets the stepchild open up to the biological parent about family drama, bringing tension, emotions, and deeper storytelling moments into your gameplay and even blame them for leaving and destroying the family

This interaction appears when a Sim with the Parent-Child trait decides to share their exciting marriage news with their ex, letting them know they are soon getting married and opening the door to even more dramatic and engaging storytelling moments

This pie menu allows the biological/other parent to gently guide their child toward accepting the new step-parent and their parent’s new relationship, helping them become more understanding and forgiving

This pie menu kicks in when the other biological parent goes full toxic mode, creating chaos as they pry into their ex’s life, demand answers, and refuse to let go of what’s already over

8- Bestie

This is a great option if your Sim wants to open up to their best friend about their new partner before sharing the news with their child
