Parent Child mod 2026 Release add-on update

I am excited to share that an upcoming add-on update will soon be available!

With this update, you can use cheats to access sim information, making it easier to identify characters and enhance your gameplay. This means you won’t have to spend time unlocking all hidden traits in-game, although the option to unlock interactions will still be available.

The Step-Parent pie menu includes various moodlets. Each hidden family trait will have its own pie menu and moodlets.

I also added a brand new gameplay feature: the “Guilt Parenting” trait. This trait can be added through Cheat Sim Info or unlocked through the interaction “Talk About Feeling Guilty”, which appears under the Parent-Child pie menu.

This feature adds even more drama and storytelling to your gameplay. For example, imagine a parent getting remarried and their child starts saying things like “Nag About Bringing a Stranger Home.” The parent begins to feel guilty and starts avoiding being too strict. Before they know it, they find themselves saying yes to almost anything their child asks for just to keep the peace.

It creates a lot of emotional and realistic family moments that can really shape your Sims’ relationships.

I also added two brand new pie menus unique to the other biological parent, giving them their own way to express how they feel about the situation.

The first one focuses on a no-drama, supportive parent who doesn’t want to put any pressure on their child. Instead, they try to make their child’s life easier, offering support, understanding, and comfort during a big family change.

I also added some parent drama to make your storytelling even more intense! Imagine the dad getting remarried, while the ex starts acting toxic and tries to pull the child to their side, making it harder for them to give the new step-parent a real chance.

I also added some new interactions between biological siblings, where they can gossip together and complain about the step-parent. In their dramatic little moments, they might even call them the “step monster”, creating some funny sibling bonding and extra family drama for your storytelling.
