⏩ This mod makes Played Sims' skills gradually decay in certain skill levels, giving Sims a purpose to work on their skills.
🔑 You need to have an XML injector for this mod to work!
✔ This won't affect Unplayed households and NPC Sims so your townies can keep their skills. I also disallow Servo from skill decay.
✔ EA's game skills are divided into HighLevel_Adult/LowLevel_Adult/Child/Toddler skills. You CAN choose to install what serves your gameplay style.
✔ With !chingyu_addon_SkillGivesReward + addon_SkillDecayDelay, it also adds an extra feature of giving your Sim satisfaction points x50 and Influence Points x5 (if Eco Lifestyle is installed) when they gain a skill level.
👌 Base-Game Compatible.
🧩 Remove any packs you don't own in chingyu_addon_SkillDecayDelay!!!

I temporarily removed the broken script addons, chingyu_addon_LockSkillDecayCheat & chingyu_addon_SkillDecayDelay, from the download page until I fix them. The main module of this mod is still working for the patch.

Hi! I'm wondering if you could add an add on where skills have "checkpoints" where they only decay down to the next lowest level but then stop? Like if they reach level 10 skill it won't drop anymore, but if they reached level 5 and filled the bar half way it can still drop down to 5 but not continue dropping? I'm sorry if that's too much of an ask!
Is it possible to release a version of the SkillDecayDelay addon without the satisfaction/influence points boost? No obligation, obviously; it just keeps throwing up exceptions in my game.
Check if you remove any addons tagged with packs you don't play with. If you install addons with packs you don't have, it gives LEs. The satisfaction/influence points boost feature is base game compatible. If you indeed do not install any addon tagged with packs you don't play with and still get LEs, please send your LEs to my discord server so that I can check what's wrong. 😃
When doing homework or classes for photography based courses at University and decayed to just under max, when max reached again the max level pop up and sounds keeps repeating.
Hi! Does this still happen when the !chingyu_addon_NoDecayWhenMaxSkills and/or chingyu_addon_SkillDecayDelay is installed? You need at least one of these add-ons to prevent max-level pop-ups within a short period of time. 😀
