Scarlet Law 0.4.2 - Early Access
Features:
2 side scenes with Viera
Added a new store called "Weebs-R-Us", after visiting there for the first time. Here, you can buy some minor scenes for girls to appear at midnight. There's a little help (?) button that will provide you with more info. More options will be added in the near future. For those further in the game, you will see an alert pop up when you log into your save for the first time.
Known Issues:
There might be a bug that is affecting saves whenever you use the lewd button to acquire affection. I believe I fixed this but if you see any problems, please let me know.
Sometimes when you transfer/load saves, your character name becomes <NONE> (or something similar). Not 100% sure what the fix is, but you can start a new game, re-name your characters and relationships, then load your original save... This will change the names back.
Minor Changes:
Fixed some minor typos and text sizes.
Weekends now give bonus money when you work. Around ~$200+, so that's almost double what you would normally make. People were complaining about grind, so I decided to add this. It also makes it so weekends/days feel more relevant.
I removed all sex sound effects. I plan on going through each scene in the future and adding specific sex sounds someday, but it's low priority.
For now on, the game will detect if you are using an older version of SL. It will alert you of this whenever you boot up on the game.

Good evening Citizens,
It has been a very, very long time. I'm so sorry for the wait, but we're finally done 0.4.2. I completely understand that faith in the project has taken a hit, but I AM 100% still working on Scarlet Law. To be clear, all my free time literally goes into SL. I barely play video games, I don't go out to party, I have no RL friends, I have no family obligations, and I don't travel or go on vacation. I've been just busy with classes and taking my time. This update probably could have been done 2-3 weeks ago, but I was busy testing new code to see if we could increase the quality of life of the game in the future. Unfortunately, I didn't get as much done as I would have hoped, but I'm still happy with what we have in this update. I know that the amount of content we'll have definitely won't justify the amount of time it took to complete this update, but I assure you that I am thinking about SL constantly.
So for this update, we have two side scenes with Viera. She's a popular character with tsundere qualities, so it was fun messing with her. I do kind of want to do another Viera update, but I think we may (or may not) have a poll to decide who we do next. I'm leaning toward Silvia, Viera, or more time at the school, but we'll see. I need some time to think about it.
I also want to let everyone know that we are basically done with every Scarlet Contract. As such, I want to add some side content to have people spend money without feel like a total grind. The goal is to basically have more options to spend money on after all the Scarlet Contract contact is done. Which is why I've decided to add a new feature that lets girls (whose Scarlet Contracts you own) appear at midnight to see you. You will then be able to interact with them and "buy" some side (and small) content with them through a new store called "Weebs-R-Us" once you unlock it (AKA visit for the first time). I plan on adding more girls/content for this in the near future so please check up on it in future updates. There will also be an alert for people loading into their saves and seeing this for the first time. You can visit this store by going to the map once it's unlocked (and visiting during afternoon and evening).
Some other things I plan on adding to have people spend their money on are:
Prostitution with whores in alleyways
Prison sex with convicts
More dating scenes at the beach or possibly the hot springs
The good news is that I have been spending a lot of time on backend code which you probably won't see to help prepare myself for this content in the future, but we'll see how things turn out. I'm also thinking about having an anal scene with Estelle (i don't know how the hell I'm going to make this work), but we might do a poll on it because I feel like a lot of us don't like this type of content (I personally do not).
But yeah. Thank you so much for your patience. Thank you so much for your support. I HAVE been working on SL, it's just that the time, motivation, and classes are taking up most of my time. I DO plan on having another update within 1-2 months, before I get busy again for Fall semester but we'll see what happens. I'm feeling optimistic about my life over the next year or two, so hopefully, things get better for me mentally. Again, thanks again for your patience and support,
