After decades playing in many different adult gaming spaces... I have found that the best erotic narratives feature denial, a quest to be worthy of love, and then triumphant and vigorous sex with the women of my dreams (I am poly so go harem!)
Work to get the girl is the deal. Also important to me is the girl character and how you work on it. Eg Corrupt the geek, manage to bed the grumpy bitch etc

To be blunt about it, There's working for getting the gal (like IRL), and dreaming what you do when you win her heart (fantasizing). Anything else is entire fate, or chance...all memorable, I dig it, but the one with the payoff you worked for? Hands down, bar none, that's the keeper. Yessir.
