Thoughts on U488 and possible future updates like it.
This is the follow up poll to this one, regarding last month's "experimental" Update 488, where I tried drawing different characters in different ways than usual.

Likes-wise they seemed to do great, with the least liked still getting a fair score, big relief.
Personally, I'd like to do more experimental Updates like this (barely experimented really...), but what do you guys think?
Now that I've sent higher-res rewards, you guys will be able to more clearly see the differences in the art from my usual, taking that into considerations, please vote!

The update was great and very enkoyable. Imagine it couls also be used to do some art trends or memes currently ongoing 😝
I’m all for artists experimenting with their style, but U488 comes across as a little too "generic" to me. It feels like many artists could recreate a similar style like that, while the other Updates have a much more distinct and original vibe, imo. Could be also bc I like saturated colors more, but idk just my opinion.
Specifically the kobeni one looks very nice, whatever you did differently with the colors and her nose/hair looks great
While I prefer characters from the same source, it's perfect fine if characters they met in cross overs are involved like for example Street Fighter, and what ever other series they fought or like Aqua and Rem since they met in crossovers like Isekai Quartet. Halloween costumes are fine too.
I like this style because there are some updates where I don't have any connection to/find appeal in the featured character(s) so seeing more variety in one update can only be a good thing for me personally.
Honestly, I really liked the style in U488, and I loved the idea and the number of images. The SFW aspect at the beginning of each one was very nice. I hope this continues, because there are characters that get close to the top 5 but sometimes don’t make it. So I really liked the idea.
