There's quite a bit of nervousness going into this chapter, but I felt it was necessary to show a glimpse of Nathan's side. In my mind he's always the one to get broken up with, no exceptions! Except now that he's got a clingy Andrew that he can't seem to rid himself of...!
We're about to embark on a new arc, one that I hope will be satisfying and satiating. Please look forward to it!

Nathan never cares, but he cares for Andrew. He is fighting for him! 🥰
Yesss I've been dying to see Nathan's POV and past for so long. This really adds to his character of how he's able to move on so "coldly" since he's dealt with it so often. Though, I'm still curious about why he's so obsessed with not having his time wasted...
I know Nathan is a very rational and logical person. But you can't tell me those break ups didn't feed into that over the years. The way he accepts it so fast, and at some level those must've hurt. I get that it's frustrating for the other person, but aren't they also at fault? Did anyone ever explain to him why exactly? It looks like all he got were accusations and mean words. I get people are hurt if they feel like their partner is too aloof or uninterested in them or the relationship,but how is Nathan supposed to learn if no one ever explained why exactly to him? He also kinda looks more and more defeated over the years. Like it is not worth it anyways because if the partner already made up their mind there is no need for more words. Those relationships, break ups and words for sure shaped who he currently is after all. At least part of him. There is a contrast between the younger and his more current version. And with the words Andrew used in the previous chapter it seems like something did click or shift within Nathan. Because it seems like Andrew was the first to ask what Nathan wanted, that he'd have to speak up about what he wants. That would also be a transition to this chapter and Nathan getting ready to probably go to Andrews hearing - maybe to speak up? Although on a different note I'm desperately trying to remember if Nathan used words like he received before, to say them to Andrew? I can't remember 😭 stupid goldfish brain. But I'm sure Nathan will be there for Andrew... So they can both learn and grow from and with each other🤗 Thank you for the new chapter💜 Have an amazing time in NY and at Comic Con!!💜
Those are such good points, and I actually went back and checked. He didn't use the same words at all. In fact, compared to how Nathan's been broken up with, the way he broke up with Andrew in the hotel room was gentle. He explained himself as clearly as someone in his position could have, asked questions Andrew needed to hear, and walked away. It was probably the kindest thing he could've done at the time since, while I hate to admit it, at the point they were both at in the story, they weren't a good fit for each other. It's phenomenal to see their growth from there.

Good luck at NYCC. Live it up and take advantage of the experience, but also listen to your body so you can make through the full run. /srs What a great chapter, I didn’t think how Nathan’s aloofness might be both ingrained but also a reason for the ending of his previous relationships.
I am crossing my fingers for our Andrew at his hearing. Surprised Nathan does not take his mobile with him? Nathan reacts logically, not emotionally, to his surroundings and people. That might be why he has trouble with his previous relationships. Whereas Andrew put his heart out to a person he likes a lot and wants to show him (Nathan) he is committed to this relationship. Remember he taught him the phrase in Cantonese?? That tells a lot about Andrew in general. We can see how both approached sex differently and how they attach their importance to it (love or sex). Andrew=emotion Nathan=logics The question here is will they work their differences out and understand each other better? That is if Nathan is willing to talk it out and makes some efforts. I know Andrew would do anything for his relationship especially Nathan. Now we have to 🤞🤞 and wait for our boys…. I am 🙏 for Andrew and his hearing.

I think it's important to see his perspective. This is what he's experienced, why wouldn't it affect his current interactions?
I love this insight into Nathan and past relationships. The one thing I’m incredibly curious about is how did he get to the point where a lot of his previous partners considered him to be selfish and uncaring? Like, what was the first incident that caused him to be this way? Because with Andrew, he genuinely doesn’t seem like that type of a person 🤔 Either way, this is a really insightful chapter to read! We don’t get a lot of Nathan’s background, but he’s such a fascinating and intricate character that I do wish we got a little bit more. Hopefully he’s on his way to fight for his man! Andrew did something differently than the other guys. The other guys wanted Nathan to fight for them, meanwhile Andrew challenged him. He challenged Nathan’s thinking (it’s quite logical) and smoothly got Nathan to feel more than think.
It’s the plagiarism hearing 😭 wasn’t he supposed to be there for Andrew

Going from being broken up a lot to experiencing a cute/clingy Andrew that doesn’t give up must be hard for Nathan! Andrew’s working through his stuff about relationships, now it’s Nathan’s turn🥺🫣 Also hope everyone has so much fun at NYCC!! 🥹🫶
Awwww Nathan 😭 a break up should never be a test to see if they fight for you or be upset he’s in the right on this and its so messed up and manipulative and now you forget your phone at home 😩 your puppy is calling!!!
