Fire Fuse - Huge plant, unaligned

Plant won the last poll - and not just any Plant but rather Fusion of Plant & Elemental! I had a lot of fun working on this one and happily present to you: the Fire Fuse!

There once was a wizard of flames and fire,
and yet in his heart burned another desire.
Flowers and roots were his precious obsession,
leaves and crops the most prized possession.

So, one day he wakes to rush to his study.
He conjures and shakes, as he creates a new buddy:
a plant made of bark scorching from below,
just a tiny sapling but ready to grow.

And, indeed, it has grown! From the bottom to top,
filling the room, not leaving a spot.
Oh, if he had just known! But now it‘s too late...
his creation gone loose, his life claimed by fate.
