Early one Sunday morning

Hi everyone! I am getting a lot of messages asking about an update to the save file. As some of you might know, in recent months, I've had some health challenges, but I remain dedicated as ever to the save file (and I'm doing better too). Of course, I am just excited as you about the fairies and what this means for the save. But I'm also one EP behind, which isn't that unusual. That's kind of always been the case with the save, as it takes time and thought to make all the characters, add to the lots (I like to be the creator of at least SOME of the lots, it's my save file after all) and set up the save in a way that maintains the cohesiveness and adds to the gameplay. We have still to release a Businesses and Hobbies update to the save file! Enchanted by Nature is a long ways off.

I'm in Gnomehaven (Nordhaven) this morning, working on the last lot ... it will be Leif Brushfoot's apartment and Art Studio (Business) as well as a little bakery that seemed to just fit on the lot, and I think it will be a lot of fun to explore some "Bakery" business gameplay too! Once this lot is finished, I likely will playtest it, but I'm going as fast as I can here so that we can release the B&H update to the save file.

I haven't added a great many clubs, as I often do to the save file whenever we're updating, to make it more interesting and alive. Here's the deal: the characters are exquisite for this update and the Businesses and Hobbies gameplay is exactly what I love about the Sims 4. It's Sims 2 "Open for Business" meets "Get Together " (as you all know, I wouldn't be playing Sims 4 if it wasn't for the club system). It's in every update. But because of the game mechanics for Businesses and Hobbies that are so similar to Get Together, I didn't feel the need as acutely to use clubs.

At the moment, my patreon reliably brings in $70-$100 a month for my family, for which I am enternally grateful, but at the same time, I'm sure you all understand, I have to work outside of Patreon to support my family and this is just what I do on the side.

Will there be an update to the save file? YES! Very soon! In the next week hopefully.

Should you wait before downloading the save file? YES! You will end up playing the save file now, and then a week later (hopefully less), Gnomehaven will be released and you will have to manually update or start again.

Will the save file be updated for Enchanted by Nature / Fairies? Of course! It's everything we've been waiting for and more, but Gnomehaven comes first. I will work as fast as I can, but the pace I'm working at is the pace I can go at right now. I promise to go as fast as I can! And of course, this time around, I'll leave some cute fairy characters and builds in Innisgreen when we release Gnomehaven too ... I won't be able to resist, but it won't be an official update yet.

Will existing fairies be updated for the Gnomehaven or Enchanted by Nature update? No, I want to make sure that people who don't own the pack, can still play the existing save file and play all the way up to Gnomehaven (Businesses and Hobbies), experience the save file as it already exists, before ever having to purchase Enchanted by Nature. Not everyone can afford the new EP's at full price, and the existing fairy gameplay in the save file is adorable and lots of fun, without having to own yet another EP.
