New Sci-Fi Season - The Karrakin

Our new line of space opera miniatures (Ternovis Protocol) opened the next Season, with the feisty Karrakin - heat-loving space lizards!

Season 1 miniatures will also soon be coming to our webstore, so you can keep them all in one place.

Some lore about the Karrakin

Planet Overview

The Karrakin are among the oldest industrial species in the Beyond. Their civilization is built like a living furnace, shaped by the never-ending ash storms of Karraka, a high-gravity planet full of tectonic chaos. The landscape is covered in jagged volcanic plains, constant ash storms, and violent rivers of magma. The Karrakin make their homes in huge hive-cities carved into the walls of active volcano calderas. While the planet is rich in heavy ores, its most important resource is Ignium, a dangerous, radioactive volcanic sludge.

Anyone visiting Karraka needs a heavy-duty, refrigerated mech-suit just to leave their ship safely. Without it, they would burn up instantly.

Biology & Appearance

Large, broad, bipedal reptiles with a permanent hunch, the Karrakin are massive warrior-species whose core temperatures exceed 400°F (200°C). Feared and respected across the Beyond as mercenary shock troops or siege engineers, their bodies are powered by a hyperactive metabolism. This heat grants them rapid cellular regeneration – wounds instantly knit together in violent bursts of steam.

Their backs and outer limbs are covered in thick keratinous plating, forming natural armor over dense musculature. Between these plates, softer pebbled skin glows molten orange whenever they are enraged or wounded. A thick, muscular tail counterbalances their immense upper-body mass.

Their hands end in three thick, heavy fingers and an opposable thumb, each tipped with non-retractable digging claws strong enough to tear through the stone or steel. Large calloused shoulder pads, evolved to bear tremendous weight, now serve as natural mounting points for their massive Furnace Pack reactors.

Males are broader, heavier, with pronounced neck spines and thicker plating. Females are taller and leaner, with sleeker head profiles, and most often occupy the highest ranks of engineering, memory-keeping, and leadership.

Ternovis Protocol Monthly Contents - July 2026

20+ models. All come pre-supported as .STL and .LYS Lychee Slicer files.

Overlord Vorg, The Unquenchable – Legendary warlord and embodiment of Karrakin battle doctrine. Wields a massive mech drive-shaft as a warhammer and treats every battle like a sacred festival.

8x Ignis Line-Breakers – Core battleline infantry. Heavy, disciplined furnace-warriors armed with Magma-Riveters and combat blades. Their armor locks into defensive positions, turning them into nearly immovable gun platforms.

3x Pyre-Chanters (with and without flame FX) – Religious flamethrower zealots who recite The Verse mid-battle. Their chants inspire nearby allies while their Ignium-fueled flames ignore cover and spread panic.

3x Caldera Guard – Ancient living reactors clad in ceremonial armor. Their bodies radiate so much heat that incoming projectiles melt before impact. Elite guardians of the Grand Chorus.

Iron-Pave – Rocket-propelled steamroller assault vehicle built purely for flattening enemy lines. Turns cover and infantry alike into molten wreckage.

Anvil Heavy Fighter – in Tabletop Scale (for 32mm miniatures) and Starfighter Scale (for space battles) with flight stands. A flying brick of armor and engines. Built for direct-impact dogfighting and overwhelming frontal assault.
