Yayyy I’m so glad you’re starting exchange as it’s my favorite Korean dating show. Oh and don’t worry Lenny, it may seem slow paced for now but there will be lots of drama later on, especially once the exes are revealed to everyone, which is usually halfway through the show. To give you a little rundown of the show without any spoilers, all the contestants aren’t allowed to say who their ex is and try to make it less obvious. Throughout the series, the producers start revealing couples one by one to us (the viewers) but not to other contestants (this happens later in the show). Also, not all couples are there as future contestants join the show later on, so someone might be there without their ex yet. While in the house, they are allowed to communicate with their ex and talk to them privately while trying not to get caught (I think this is why there’s such a big house this season lol) and this is where they start arguing and bickering with each other. They are allowed their phones as texting is a major part of the show but they are not allowed to use social media as this can spoil some couples or who they are such as job and age. This show is more about deep conversations and working things out rather than completing missions like other shows do but this makes for deeper friendships and relationships coming from it instead :) Just remember people’s feelings are going to be all over the place with this show as they are literally living with their ex and having to have to see them everyday even if you don’t want get back together with them. Imagine that 😭😭 Also, the producers are meant to be confusing us on purpose with who could be each others ex, so every time you’re confident on a couple don’t be because you’ll always change you’re mind a second later lol 😭 Fun fact onto how the producers cast for this show: if you want to be on the show, you have to give a list of exes that the producers can contact and they then call the exes and tell them that their ex wants to do this show and they can either accept or decline. It also doesn’t have to be their most recent ex as some in the past have brought their partner from their first relationship. Obviously, most of the contestants that request to come on this show has one ex in mind but they have to give a list in case their ex says no. If accepted, they are not allowed to contact each other before coming on, so their first meeting is recorded on camera (the scene that you saw in the beginning but was edited so we don’t know who’s ex is who). Hope you check out the past seasons too like s3 as it’s my personal favorite but s2 is what made the show go super popular and viral in Korea making it the no.1 dating show in the country.

YAYYYY I'm so happy you guys are finally watching EXchange! This is my absolute favorite Korean dating show! I really like single's inferno because the drama and all but it's so short so it's hard to build real connections. I fell in love with this show because the concept is so new and also I think this show is filmed over 3 or 4 weeks. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster guys!
