Reminds me of a fight I saw, one girl got another on the ground and started stomping on her head. When guys fight, they normally stop once the other is down, but girls, they just keep going. Anyway sorry to hear about your daughter, must be aggravating; (putting it lightly) good luck!

Family comes first. So my thing is that you are there for your family then come back when your ready to pick it back you. Hopefully your daugther can get some justice and I would also come down heavy on the school for not doing anything. My thoughts goes out to you and your family.

take what ever time you need. as for the situation with your daughter, i know how the navy is. the captain is going to want to assure you that things are well in hand. he is looking after his own ass, but he does have quite a bit of authority, though not a lot of pull with the purse strings, a bit backwards from civilian type stuff. figure out what happened, then ask for some policy changes that would help to mitigate such things in the future. the captain is looking for admiralcy and needs this incident to go away, he will be compliant. the teachers will be forced to take an interest in your concern for your daughter and will probably help keep you in the loop better, and of course not let shit like this to happen to her again. if you go for money unreasonably you'll eat away the other avenues which should yield better results. don't get greedy, don't seek vengeance, keep a level head, but don't let the matter get swept under the rug. good luck
I'm not interested in money or civil suits, I want to make sure the guilty parties are appropriately dealt with, and figure out what screwed up crap is going on at the school. My work with the captain is of course facilitated via his boss, which I suppose is an advantage to being a high-level GS employee. I'm sure he'll be appropriately motivated to do the right thing, and if not, my boss will probably end any career concerns the captain may have had. (I'm actually kind-of trying to keep things low key on the boss front, because I don't want to start another shitstorm)

Fortunately at this point it becomes a matter of criminal law, and there is video evidence, so it seems to be a fairly straight-forward case of felony aggravated assault & battery. The father is subject to the UCMJ and legally responsible as well. I'll leave their punishment up to the authorities, for now I'm more interested in finding out wtf is wrong with that school.
Seriously forget AW and just go be with your daughter. We understand and can wait. Children always have priority especially in such a case.
Yeah, I'm taking care of it. But while I'm here at work or otherwise indisposed, I might as well keep working on AW while I can. It's shitty, but also pointless to obsess over this kind of thing.

You should be devoting your self primarily with your daughters problems. I'm sorry to here what happened. I do not know what to say, just make sure your daughter knows you are there, you love her no matter what. And good luck finding out why that shit happened to your daughter. From the sound of it that should keep you quite busy. As far as the updates and releases go, pffft, they are sooo down the list of concerns. Take care, you and your daughter. (⊙△⊙✿)

I'm sure you didn't need to be told, but family comes first. No one's going to mind if the release is delayed, especially given the circumstances. Hope everything goes well for you and your daughter though, I can't imagine if that happened to one of mine.
