Update 0.8.1 Progress Report
We have noticed that in 0.8.0 the breast jiggle physics is barely noticeable. We will revise the parameters and adjust the breast rig to address the discrepancies in physics simulation between UE4 and UE5 in update 0.8.1 and 0.8.2. This will also improve the collision of Juzi's hair and clothing.
We have also examined all sex scenes of Juzi and have started fixing the broken animations and reworking the low quality ones.
Environment lighting has been adjusted to reduce the areas covered by shadow and excessive highlight. The lighting will now correctly interact with the skin materials of the monsters, preventing them from appearing too dark.
Apart from a large amount of miscellaneous fixes, most issues with network connection stability, loading time and framerate drop have been addressed, we need to run a few internal tests to make sure the patch doesn't accidentally break the game.
This month's poll will be held after update 0.8.1 is out. The last four candidates of the year 3 research pass investigators - Alvinia Whateley, Beatrix Pickman, Devana and Cyra will be added to the poll after their Character Spotlight announcements.

Update 0.8.1a was live on the public branch six hours ago. This patch added three new costume sets for Juzi's research pass and a portion of tested optimization changes and fixes.

Sorry for asking, I have no idea if it was noted somewhere but: When will the Affinity System work? I can't let the characters' affinity rise to a new level and I can't give gifts to the characters either. Apparently you only get affinity points for experiments that you already own, but they don't seem to do anything. Some of my characters have more affinity points than you need to level up, but nothing happens.
Are you going to fix the CPU bottleneck? RTX 4090's on the most powerful overclocked CPUs are seeing around 30% usage at 4K without DLSS.

Much better update little sluggish at first but ran way better and actually loaded!
What date with VR 8.5 be released?
I re-subbed just so I could speak here. I backed this project for many hundreds of dollars over the years, and while I understand development takes time - all of these repeat bumping back of the goals is getting frustrating. We were told long ago that VR mode would be put in. I myself develop with UE5 and *know* that while it takes a bit of work to get scaling, shaders and performance right (+UI which is probably the most tedious imo) it really isn't all *that* hard to implement VR. For many of us the promises of VR support were the main reason we backed in the first place - but it seems that many promises along the road map are constantly being bumped/changed (also looking at you the constant 'Galatea *OR* this other girl next' when ppl ask about her.). I don't mean to come off as an entitled c**t but I do expect to get what I was told to expect when you asked for my money. I have shipped one early VR title myself, and yes it was work but you have a duty to provide what you said you were going to - and not many years after the fact. Let me know if you need a hand and I don't mind helping if I can. I haven't been able to properly enjoy the game because that is why I bought it, and I'm stuck playing the old demo version in VR and I can't see why implementing VR in at least Gallery mode would be such a big deal. You would likely garner a lot more support if you did.
Yeah, I'm finding the whole 'Galatea *OR* this other girl' repeatedly occurring to be concerning. This is the 4th character with this phrasing claim in a row and comes after the vote of characters to be released which, coincidentally, we're not being told the results of. I wonder why VR has a set specified patch of 0.8.5. How does one predict such a precise patch so far in advance (around a year's time roughly)? VR, itself, takes one day to even implement. Other games implement it in around 2-3 days.

So far, the biggest issue for me still lies with Elizabeth's hair. She also suffers from terrible outfit clipping issues. Regardless, 0.8.0.h was the update that made the game worth playing for me. If you guys can get the VR right, along with the remaining graphical glitches fixed, you will be leaps and bounds above the majority of adult games' visuals.
Can you tell me how to get into VR mode? Game via SteamVR only brings me the canvas mode. I use the Quest 3 as a headset ...

We cannot replicate this issue. Could just be insufficient VRAM.
