Progress Update #6: June 3, 2021
The first "Big Monthly Early Access" update is out and seems to be relatively error-free. A few bugs, but overall it was a smooth and successful update. There were issues - but... that's life in game development. Everything has bugs - you just hunt them down, fix, and move on... If they all go as well, we'll be pretty pleased.
We have some new builds coming up in the beta-branch that fix a few of these bugs - but nothing serious implemented in terms of new content.
So - what HAVE we been working on?
Short answer - A LOT of new content that's still very rough.
What did we do this week?
Started work on the new "Karen's Catalog" feature - a new buying interface
Built the first "deconstruct" subgame, where you get to take stuff apart.
Laid out and started art for 3 new lewd scenes - Maria, Maria, and Reyna.
Wrote the rough script for the next bit of storyline
Built the art for a bunch of the new places you'll go when you discover the "Ridge"
What will we do next week?
Finish up the catalog and add new stuff to buy
Build our new "Flower picking" feature -0 and add flowers into the game
Add the new "Girls keep your flowers in their room" Feature
Start adding animations/FX to all of the new rooms and make them navigable
Start building the quest logic for the next bits of story
Continue lewd-scene art
OH, and SO much scriptwriting...
To be honest, the "Monthly build cadence" is hard - when you know you need a week of testing before... and you lose a few days after each update to patches and bug fixes... you end up with 3 weeks to actually build. And with a small team, 3 weeks is not a LOT of time...
But that's the gig. And we're committed to continuing to build the game out further... so... back to work! Thanks again for all your support!
