Accessory Tops and Chains - Base Layer Update
In the 12th May update The Sims 4 introduced a new CAS category dedicated to accessory tops, called Base Layer. This way you no longer have to give up on gloves if your sim wants to wear a CC accessory top. (Originally all my accessory tops and chains were located under the Gloves catalogue so your sim couln't wear them at the same time. Downloading the new updated versions is not a necessity, if you like them located under the gloves section or you haven't updated your game to this patch yet you can ignore this post! ^^ )
After making a poll checking preferences, I decided to make a new, standalone version of my already existing accessory tops and body chains located under this new category. This way you can have the old (gloves) version and new (base layer) version at the same time and I noticed you can even layer two accessories this way hehe but if you no longer need the old gloves category version, you have to manually delete it. The file name changed the following way - I added the BaseLayerUpdate suffix to the original filename. Example:
Trillyke_Superstar_Waist_Chain_Belts.package - old file, located under the Gloves section
Trillyke_Superstar_Waist_Chain_Belts_BaseLayerUpdate.package - new file in this update, located under the new base layer category
Accessories like sleeve accessories and arm warmers I didn't touch, I feel they still fit more under the gloves section. Accessory chains however I updated, bodychains will be layered under tops, while waist and belly chains will be layered over clothing, as originally intended. Not on the preview, but I also updated the two male frame accessory tops I made in the past.
The file is a ZIP file containing 38 package files, make sure you unzip it and move everything to your Mods folder! ✨

OMG THANK YOU!!!!! LIKE ACTUALLY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Thank you for making a seperate version for the layer category and the glove's one. I wasn't planning on updating my game anymore because of all the lags that's been happening! You're like my life saver at this point. I'm so happy that you didn't decide to simply make them into the layer category.
Thank you SO much for just updating all of it at once!

I don't usually leave comments for creators... but I just HAD to tell you how amazing this is! Thanks so much for the work you put in.
Thank you for turning them into Base Layers! Is the Accessory Top from the Mackenzie Mini Dress also included?
No it is not, that's a simple tshirt which they already added to the new category anyway, so I didn't feel the need to add more of the same thing.

oh thank you so much! i wasn’t aware of this update (haven’t been playing recently) so thank you for letting me know! and for converting yours around too bc i really like them and use them a lot! and gloves and rings and accessory things are hard to combine
Omg thank you! You are so awesome.
ESPECIALLY appreciate you letting us know the new file naming convention, any time a file gets a revision (be it CC or mod) it's SO helpful to know what file I can dispose of if I use the revision :) Thank you for taking the time to take advantage of this new thing, cos I don't use the old accessory tops but wanted to so badly!
I LOVE YOU!
GOATED
Thank you so much! Now I can layer the body chains with my favorite outfits AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
thanks so much!!!!
This is so great! Thank you!
OMG!! You're timing is impeccable. I just updated my game. Thank you!!
TYSM! this is amazing!
I'd been wondering what creators were going to do for this update. Never did I anticipate one hitting the 'I updated them all' button. Amazing and thank you.
Most cc creators are releasing two or three of these at a time and here you are slam dunking all of it. The fact that you did ALL of your accessory cc is amazing! I've been using your cc for years, (I'm pretty sure you were just starting cc creation) way back when the only way I could get it was TSR. I have and use often about 500 items of your cc. It's the largest creator file in my mods folder! I agree with Parys Byrd, you really are the GOAT! Thank you for giving us such beautiful and consistent pieces that I can't live without!
this is amazing, thank you so much!
Omg you are the GOAT for this!! Tysm!!
It's going to be tedious updating my Sims (I've got dozensss of sims sporting these assets. ) but I'll get around to it haha. Thanks so much for this 💖
