Important news on future progress
Hello everyone!
Not the best news today, but what must be must be.
I am going to take a week off of creating new stuff, but keep working on mods in other ways.
I really need it. I haven't had a day off of modding since July.
A - I'm mentally exhausted and that's causing me to make mistakes more than I normally would. (For example updating No Strings Attached for the patch with old files, causing an old bug to come back.)
B - My hands & arms are killing me. I've had many upper limb surgeries on both arms / hands (about half of which didn't really work) and chronic pain and problems will follow me lifelong, but pushing it as much as I have been is putting me in real risk of doing myself more irreparable damage, if not done already. I have reached a point where I need a break for my body and my mind.
What will I do during this time?
- Clean out my files, and continue / finish to clean out my mods, as I had announced being doing a while ago and am doing; [EDIT Nov. 17: that is now finished for all mods except the Cheating Module of Contextual Social Interactions, Psychic Sims!, and Rambunctious Religions].
- Keep doing mod support, which generally takes 1-2 hours a day, more around release times or when issues are found.
What about after a week has passed?
Then, I will resume working on new stuff, at a reduced pace. I will keep this reduced pace until my hands don't kill me 24/7 anymore - or until I can't take working less fast anymore and resume doing too much because I'm an idiot that way.
Will we see another release in November then?!
I sure hope so! It's still my goal, even with this mini partial break.
Thanks to all who will be understanding and hang on with me.
