[Mod] "Say Something To" - a custom notification mod for storytellers - Sims 4

Core Feature:
This mod adds ' Say Something.... ' special social interactions. These special interactions prompt you to write what your sim is saying to the other sim.
- Say something Friendly
- Say something Funny
- Say something Mean
- Say something Mischievous
- Say something Flirty
- Say something Sad
- Say something Embarrassing
- Say something Happy
As the Sims start to animate, you write what your sim is saying.
You will see a notification of your sim saying what you typed as the Sim do their animations for the interaction (which depend on the category).
You can also make non-played Sims say something.
This is fun for players who like to tell stories with lots of screenshots or like to write things out.
Optional Features:
1. Moodlet Reactions
- The sim talked to reacts to the interaction with a moodlet that depends on the interaction category used, positive if the interaction succeeds, negative otherwise. There are two possible moodlet variations for each case for 'Say something Flirty'.
- Your sim has a chance to get a general positive or negative moodlet regarding their communication as well.
2. Recall-Based Reactions
With this feature, Sims can "remember" what they were told last, and react to it later - in phone calls (more avenues will be added later if I find the time!).
3. Immediate Notification Reactions
With this feature, Sims who are told something might make an answer notification at the end of the interaction.
What they can say comes from presets; possible answers are selected depending on the category of interaction your sin used and the reaction the listener had.
NOTE: THERE AREN'T MANY POSSIBLE TEXTS YET AT THE MOMENT FOR THIS FEATURE.
4. Readable Record
Optionally, you can have a record of what you made your sims say. You can turn on the setting to do so. If it's on, everything you write for your sims to say will be recorded to a file in your Mods
DOWNLOAD & Installation:
1 - remove files from previous versions, if any
2 - REQUIRED: Lumpinou's Toolbox Library-Mod.
If you don't already have it in the most recent version, grab the REQUIRED "Lumpinou's Toolbox" Library-Mod here (alt: here), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder, NO DEEPER.
3 - grab the .package file from this post (link below), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder.

Would it be possible to add compatibilty with Sentient Sims for sims to able to talk to each other without the played sim in the interation like when you eavesdrop on villagers in animal crossing? I think it would be entertaining to see the chat logs of what my sims say to each other after a play session xD
Can't wait to make my sims say the most out-of-pocket things to each other, I play sims 3 for the wholesome fun and sims 4 for the chaos >:)
Just reporting back - been using this a bit this morning and so far I'm loving it ❤️! Nice long animations to go with the statements that are appropriate to the mood (perfect for screenshots) and its lovely to be able to have my sim actually say what I want them to vs. having to pick something random or close enough and hope I get the right facial expressions. I'm just downloading! <3 This will be great for interactions! I want to ask: Could you do a mod that would cut the need for introductions, for the game to accept that a sim knows another? I'd like the introductions to just disapear and never be needed again. My sim is in conversation with a group of sims in a bar or the street for quite a while, but unless, he introduces himself to any one of them, they don't show in the relationships panel, not even as acquaintances. I'd love my sim to know he talked to someone in a group and even had a first impression, without me having to make any introduction. Do you think this could be done?

I'm currently in "editing mode" for my LP but this is going to be so helpful when I go back to playing I think. May I ask, does the animation between sims vary depending on whether they are saying something mean or nice for instance? It drives me batty when what the sims say and their facial expressions are out of sync (they are supposed to be comforting someone sad but the animation is the generic smiling question/answer one with the wonky eye and shrug, for instance) I can't use those screenshots 😄!! Thanks for doing this 😊

@Lumpinou I have noticed the automatic Proposals in the lovestruck pack however played sims do not get the option to refuse it is it possible to make a script which would give the player the option the say yes or no ?? Is it also possible to stop cheating sims aka the sim that is cheating to stop getting to broken heart death I mean that sims has decided to cheat right ? Surely it would be better if the cheating sims partner has the broken heart if they found out about the cheating ?

you truly are my hero! thank you for everything you do I literally had to sub to you because my god you deserve it! im curious M7 I know took a hit from the pack but I wanted to know will my sims still be able to tell their partner if they cheated or did you have to remove this feature? I haven't been able to play since the pack was released and im finally getting ready to update my mods and etc lol thank you again

Not me just logging off the computer when this pops up. Totally adding this first thing tomorrow
LOVE THIS! however, my game has been acting weird since downloading the expanded Woohoo module. i ran a scan on it and told me that the issue had to do with the expanded woohoo module. i removed that mod, and my game is now working a lot better. is that something that needs to be updated? or do you think it had to do with other mods?
