And the drama continues! I can see Lexi's point, but by the same token- Cass revealed to her just how fake her life really was. She didn't "lose" anything, in the same way that counterfeit money being lost isn't wasting money. She did gain a friend, and a crush, and the ability to truly be herself- not to mention expanding in confidence if she chose to allow it. Far as I can tell, nobody hates Cass- save the cheersquad- but they treat Lexi like a laughingstock, and that's pretty mean. Honestly, maybe she needs a new school- or the whole student body to get fat and understand how horrid they've been. Lexi's got a surrogate Mom, a bunch of sweet aunties, and a doting goth who truly does seem to love her. That's more than what Stacey's got, and a few real friends are worth more than all the fake adoration in the world. But it would hardly hurt to get Lexi some more chubby gal pals!

What I love about this story is how both sides have a point and the effects of the weight gain aren’t all positives (Not saying positives are bad). There is a realistic consequence to what Cass did to Lexi and hence why the title is Revenge, even though it feels like it’s been a long time since that first started. But I think where the story really sells itself is Cass not understanding the consequences of her actions and the antagonist (Stacey) basically telling Cass and reminding us that she ruined everything Lexi had going for her for her own personal desires. I LOVE how this story is progressing! Sorry for the long post lol
Cass absolutely owes Lexi a heartfelt apology, and probably a confession too. But I do think she also exposed just how fake Lexi's life really was, and we saw it early on too- even Lexi's seen it, but it's hard to remember when she's angry. And so close to her romantic desires, without knowing it's a trap. Stacey's a bitch.
Perhaps for Lexi and Cass to be together, Cass will need to acknowledge what she did to Lexi and how she did wreck her life and hpw wrong it was for her to do so. She also can't be the only one showing lexi love and acceptance, she will need to help Lexi find people at school who can accept lexi for who she is.
There's got to be folks at school, or in another community, that would appreciate Lexi. It seems like being bullied so much, mostly by Lexi, isolated Cass so much that she doesn't really have a friend group of her own. For all that Lexi has grown, she hasn't really changed that much- or maybe more accurately, all that change is at risk of swinging back with the promise of her old dreams coming true. I agree, Cass needs to just straight up apologize to Lexi, even if what she did has largely been a positive.
Again, Lexi has a point that while she is freer than as a skinny mean cheerleader, she's is mocked by those around her and aside from Cass, no one likes her. She does need people beyond cass and her mom who like her for who she is. Even if it's a trap, she likely needs someone beyond Cass and Cindy to show her love and affection. Hence why she's going for it
Cass really did like isolate her, I felt that Lexi’s mom let her leave after blimping up as a way of kicking her out without the blame of child abandonment. Who knows if Lexi even has a place left to call home but is enough enough? Either way, I’m so excited for the drama almost more than the continued weight gain at this point. But the pounds must go on!

I agree! I've really begun to care for these characters, and I hope this little story arc ends with the two making up in a big fat hug.
