GDC 2019 - Who Did We Interview?
Hey folks!
The dust has settled on the TWENTY interviews we conducted at the Game Developers Conference so it's finally time to reveal who we talked to. Below is a list of people we interviewed along with a general theme for the chat.
We'll be releasing these over the coming months as shorter, more focused interviews like the Cory Barlog video we published at the tail end of last year. The order we publish them is largely up in the air so if you have any favorites from the list make sure to put them in the comments below.
We also recorded a number of interviews for a special project we've been planning for a while now. It's at the bottom of the list though, so get reading!

I think the documentary on Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines sounds amazing. It really came out of nowhere and is going to make so many people happy. Please come out swinging with that one.
SUDA51!!!!!!!!!
Subset Games (FTL & ITB) is the one I'm most interested in.
absolutely Telltale Games.
All of these I'm certain will be great, but I cannot wait to see more on Telltale!
Bloodlines !
Tarn Adams, hell yeah
So many interesting people, but I am most excited to see the interview with Subset Games.
Unionization is such a hot topic, and could use the momentum! On a similar vein, Telltale is just a burning issue, and brings up such important questions. Megan Farokhmanesh also seems super timely, as YouTube is in such a state of chaos. On a sheer fascination front, Suda51 has my undivided if delightedly baffled attention always. But overall not seeing how any lineup could go wrong here, impressive stuff!
Definitely Bloodlines, System Shock and Telltale!
The Argument for Unionization for sure since there are so many stories about how labor intensive the industry is and how quickly hundreds of people can lose their jobs. I wish the really vocal online angry gamers got more upset about how during crunch it's just expected that developers work ~20 hours a day instead of just complaining about how women and minorities are playable characters, for example.
I love Van Lierop and TLD, but I have to go with Dwarf Fortress here. I just have to know. I'll watch all of these though..well, most of them. But a lot!
I really want to see the Bloodlines 2.
Don’t Starve, Bloodlines & Telltale pretty pls :-)
Emma Kinema with GAME WORKERS UNITE!! Seriously this is something that I'm really excited to see after seeing so many layoffs and publishers paying out fat bonuses to execs. Game Devs are one of the most overworked and least compensated workers. Look at what happened to TellTale :( I'd love to see an entire episode just about labor organizing in games and the co-op model for game production.
what a great lineup, excited for all of them but if you're forcing us to choose i'm really exited to hear from Emma
For me, Return of Vampire would be #1, followed closely by Telltale Games. But, I want then all nnnnooooowwwwwwww! :)
This is an A-class list! Cannot wait!
While I really want to learn about what happened post Telltale, I gotta know more about the dick physics
Tina from Respawn!!
Looking forward to project Telltale. That is definitely a crazy story.
Epic! Cant wait!
Woah good list! I’ve thought Tarn and Bay 12 would be a great low-key NoClip subject from the beginning (maybe something like the Frog Fractions one) so I’d love to see that. Also would be great to have an argument for unionization on the channel sooner rather than later, IMO.
Voting for that Rami!
Sunset Games and Suda51 to the front of the line!
So many of the items on this list sound amazing. I can't wait to see these come out down the road!
All look great. It would be nice to have the unionisation one or sooner rather than later.
They all sound interesting! A few games I don't know so that's exciting, and I must say, Genital Jousting sounds intriguing! xP Rami is always great and Telltale will probably make for a great story as well!
Telltale, easily most excited about that, Raphael Van Lierop is # 2, Steven Kick is #3
These are awesome, I'm super excited for Celeste and Influencer Culture.
Tarn Adams, Noel Berry and Emma Kinema!
Most interested in the interviews with Brian Mitsoda (Hardsuit Labs) & Christian Schlütter (Paradox) on VtMB2 and Steven Kick (NightDive Studios) on System Shock.
Holy smokes! Can't wait for the "Project Telltale", the interviews with Hinterland Games and NightDive Studios, plus off course Penis Physics, we all wan't to know more about Penis Physics.
I can't wait for the interview with Tarn
Ending the show with a showstopper, buddy. I can't wait to see the Telltale video.
Adams, Mitsoda, and Kick!
[edit] just added Suda51 who I forgot to put on the list originally. whoops!
Justin Ma, Emma Kinema, or Jamie Cheng!
Tina Sanchez, Noel Berry, and Lisette Titre-Montgomery stand out as the ones I'll devour...
They all sound great, but I’m especially excited about Klei, Subset, Respawn, and NightDive!
Sounds awesome! Honestly all of them sound great!
Return of Vampire first due to general spiking interest, and mine :P :D
Telltale for sure number one as my most anticipated!
Im looking forward to hearing from the people involved with Telltale! Im hoping their story will lead to a focus on unionization
The Return of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines !!!!!!!!!! Yes I'm that old, hehe.....
