0.5.9b — The Heretic Path Ending: A Crown Beneath the Spire
Hey everyone!
First of all, some news about the build!
The 0.5.9b build is finally done! However, the release will be delayed a little longer than I originally planned.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to properly test everything yet, as my wife recently fell ill due to complications from appendicitis. I've been going back and forth to the hospital to take care of her, so things have been a little hectic lately.
She usually helps me with testing and compiling the final build, and honestly, I didn't realize just how much I relied on her help until now!
The last few days haven't been easy for us, but I'm doing my best to keep things moving while making sure she's getting the care she needs.
Just to be clear, the new content is already finished. What's left is the final round of testing, bug fixing, and preparing the release build. Unfortunately, with everything going on right now, I can't give you guys an exact release date just yet.
I know some of you have been looking forward to this update, and I'm sorry for the additional delay. I just don't want to rush things and release a build full of bugs, especially since this update contains the long-awaited Heretic Ending!
Anyway, enough about my troubles. Let's talk about what's coming in 0.5.9b!
The Heretic Path Is Finally Coming to an End!
Yep, it's finally happening!
After everything Heidi has been through, the Heretic Path is finally reaching its conclusion in 0.5.9b!
What started as a simple investigation has turned into something much bigger. Heidi has made allies, enemies, and more than a few questionable decisions along the way. And now, after all that hard work, she's finally getting a chance to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
Or is she?
I don't want to spoil too much about what happens in this final chapter, but let's just say that becoming powerful is one thing. Keeping that power is another matter entirely!
Here's a little taste of what you can expect:
The Final Chapter: A brand-new questline that brings the Heretic Path to its long-awaited conclusion!
Old Friends, New Problems: Revisit some familiar faces, settle unfinished business, and discover that not everyone has forgotten the promises Heidi made along the way.
Dangerous Adventures: There are still a few places to visit, secrets to uncover, and some rather important decisions to make before everything is over.
The Queen of the Undercity: Heidi has come a long way from being a humble acolyte. But just how far can she rise? And what exactly does it mean to become a queen?
The Price of Power: A special closing epilogue that gives us one last look at what Heidi's choices have brought her.
Of course, this wouldn't be Inquisitor Trainer without some rather interesting encounters along the way. Expect a mixture of intrigue, dark humor, questionable morality, and, of course, a little bit of naughty fun!
I'm deliberately keeping things vague here because I really don't want to ruin the surprises for you guys. There are a few moments in this ending that I've been looking forward to sharing for quite some time, and I'd much rather let you discover them yourselves!
How to Start the Heretic Ending
For those of you who are already playing through the Heretic Path, you'll need to reach 2,000 Influence through the Pink Pearl management minigame.
Once you've reached that milestone, finish the night's activities, return to Heidi's quarters, and go to sleep.
From there, just follow the new quests as they appear. And don't forget to revisit the Pink Pearl as the story progresses!
One Last Thing...
It's been quite a journey bringing this route to its conclusion, and I have to admit, it feels a little strange knowing that we're finally here after all these years!
I really want to thank everyone who has supported the game and followed Heidi's adventures for so long. Your support has helped me keep this project going, even when things got a little difficult.
And with everything happening at home right now, I appreciate your patience and understanding more than ever.
Hopefully, things will settle down soon, my wife will make a good recovery, and I'll be able to get back to my usual routine.
For now, 0.5.9b is complete content-wise, but the release is on hold until I can finish testing it properly. I'll let you guys know as soon as I have a more definite release date.
I can't wait for you guys to finally experience the Heretic Ending, and I'm really looking forward to hearing what you think of it!
