tbh, I’ve also stepped back a bit from The Sims lately, and from Patreon too. I just read your last two posts back-to-back, and yea, I agree that you perhaps didn't clearly explain what your new project was about or what you expected from us. I read the comments on those posts, and I’m sorry if you felt harassed, but you have to accept that people (YOUR followers) were worried about you. I agree that making accusations without proof is wrong, but from what I saw, people were mostly disappointed or upset by the term "AI." As an artist myself, I can't blame them. That said, I still don't know what your site is about, and I’m a bit disappointed that you feel the need to pull all your work off the internet without giving us any further explanation. It comes across either as a way to make a point or as a way to punish us. Like you said, you’re 40 (and dealing with the heatwave, just like us). We’re really trying to understand what’s going on, and in a way, you haven't answered us; on the contrary, you’re saying here that you’re going to close this Patreon page. I understand needing time to process all this, and I hope you manage to do so. I hope this "break" (since I read somewhere that you might come back in a few months or so) does you good, without damaging your relationship with your community—though I’m not sure about that. I’ll be here if you come back, to read what you have to say—mainly bc I’m stubborn and really want more explanations and understanding regarding this whole situation, but also to see what creativity you have left. If you really are using AI, I will stop following you on principle, and I think many of us will do the same. It makes me sad for you; I’ve been following you for a while, and honestly, I had no idea what you were going through. But please understand that many of us are younger than you, poor and are artists fighting against AI. You can't blame us for wondering what is going on after seeing your post. Just going to leave my 2 cents. Being a follower for some time, I saw the post thumbnail and didn't even read the title. It didn't look like it was the for the Sims, so I had no reason to look further. Others mentioned your account may be compromised. So as a 42 year old myself, I decided to look at it. The entire tone and wording of that post is weird and doesn't match anything you have posted. I'm sorry, it does not. Even if you are doing a change on your content, that post does not even make sense. Your post is talking about finance, investing, free spins, discover the platform, earn spins and referral levels. What are the spins for??? What do you want people referring others to?? What is the investment?? There is absolutely no clear explanation of what you're trying to sell. Do what you feel you need/want to do as far as this page is concerned. You don't have to justify a thing to any of us or anyone.

I'm genuinely sorry that you felt like this was the last straw for you. People see the word AI and just naturally assume that it's evil...lots of people (not me) have a huge phobia about it. When running it through Google AI, it says it's a scam and not to give it information. Maybe that's why others thought it was. I ignored the original post but have since read the newer emails where you're so angry. I don't understand why you are. Google says it's not legitimate and it's a dangerous scam. So most likely people aren't going to trust it. It doesn't seem like something to get so angry over that you shut down everything

People's reaction has been a lot and I have no Idea of the extent of it, and if you've received accusations or harassment I'm sorry. That being said, why add a wheel of fortune or an MLM system? This, and the way the post was written felt less like a trading platform and more like the typical cripto scam. There was no announcement on other platforms and your post stated that you'd been away for months when there's actually another post from July. People can support you, and that's what they did by reporting, as much a misunderstanding as that was. It's not uncalled for, for creators to get hacked, and a similar case happened not so long ago. As you can see from the comments people are being supportive once reassured you've not being hacked. It's really not about you but the fact that crypto scams present in the same exact way you happened to announce you new project.

You're openly using AI. That's reason enough to no longer support you. The temper tantrum and act of entitlement and "I'm better than you" in this entire post is the biggest one. I'm younger than you and I act way more mature than you do.

I think it's kind of deflection to brush off any and all criticism or concern as blanket harassment. A little astonished to see so many people blindly accepting that narrative without question. That post came entirely out of nowhere with zero preamble. It isn't unreasonable for people to have concerns and I don't think it's very mature to be blowing everyone off as "haters". It isn't healthy for anyone to be soo attached to a creator that they plug their ears and gleefully follow along. To demand that, I think, is bad practice.

Genuine question: why is it called "(whatever) AI" if it's not artificial intelligence? That's just bad branding. Or someone's being dishonest. But you can't say "I work in AI" and not expect people to think "Oh, they work in AI".

I think closing your account over this may be a bit of an over reaction. I personally never reported the post, but the description before talking about it did sketch me out. I think you should have anticipated some pushback on that, even people reporting the post thinking you were hacked. And the reason is simple. That post mentioned AI. That alone is gonna trigger some alarm bells in peoples' heads. Despite companies constantly pushing AI and it being a goldmine in the tech world, normal people in general have a mostly negative view of anything labeled AI. Personally, I would say wait a week or two, see if this all dies down before deciding to close your account. I think the reporting was largely done in good faith. I've personally seen some accounts across various social platforms get hacked and push either AI or crypto scams. I'm sorry to see you go if that's your ultimate decision, but it is just that. Your decision, and I will respect whatever you decide. You don't owe us free content at all, and I am grateful for all you have done.

Girl, please don't do an ElleCrze on us 😭 people shouldn't report posts or harass anyone based off assumptions, but I do feel the confusion could have been easily avoided with one or two preamble posts to mention that you were about to introduce us to another project you've been working on. With AI in the name, and the mention of free spins etc in the body of the post, it's easy to see how some of your Patreons were not only confused by the unexpected pivot, but concerned for the safety of your page and work. This seems like an all-round good example of how everyone needs to chill, communicate better, and be patient with each other ♥︎

I also want to say, I am really sorry that you were being harassed for not responding. That is not okay no matter what. And I am sorry if something you enjoy made you a target for harassment. People are on edge about AI things and of course the potential of being scammed. Yes it was wrong for people to assume the worst. The Sims community is pretty toxic in many different ways but there are good people to and you should focus on the good people, not the bad. But yes, Sims 4 is a buggy mess and some people just don't like playing it and you deserve to enjoy life and time without it. Good luck with your next projects. I understand your frustration but truthfully the tone of the post was not like your other posts. And had no (or rather, insufficient) context. Also the sims community is massively anti-AI. With all these elements together (plus I, personally, and I gather that likely many others, too, had no idea what it was that was being advertised in that post (I initially thought maybe it was an in game career for the sims, or something like this?) I was confused, almost fully), there was bound to be some responses that thought you had been hacked. After I couldn't figure out what the post was about, I honestly believed so, too. That said, though I didn't catch up on the virtriol (I saw the post once, as you posted it, when it had zero engagement), you do not deserve any hate. No offense, but the whole deleting Patreon thing is like throwing a tantrum. I get that you are mad people assumed your account was hacked but you have to understand that other, trusted accounts have been hacked before so people are just being careful. It’s no surprise people thought it was a scam. If you'd explained it better, interested viewers could have looked into your other work as a creator. With how easy it is to get scammed these days, it makes sense that people are so distrustful. Getting defensive like that is just weird.
