Ink and Paint Public Announcement

As you may know, we've faced a lot of trouble with unreliable artists in the past few years, and this has delayed and in some cases halted development on our games in progress. We were recently able to replace the original TDI artist with someone new who has not only been able to match the original character styles, but also elevate the game with more complex and high quality animations. When they also offered to try their hand at PAD, we were hesitant for a lot of reasons. The game artstyles are quite different, and we didn't want to overwork them or draw too much focus away from the good thing we had in TDI. But PAD was our flagship game, and there are still worlds of content we wanted to deliver in terms of story beats, new characters, and of course scenes. But we'd already tried to find a new artist for that game, two in fact, and we just ended up in the same boat again.

So, what we decided on was a compromise: rather than have them jump directly into PAD, we instead started work on a spin-off game, to solve or avoid all of the problems we had before. This lets the artist adapt to the style without the pressure of the main game, but still provides brand new content with the princess characters you know and love. If it wouldn't have worked out, then there was nothing lost, just a side venture that we could easily release as a one-off and stick with TDI while continuing to search for more talent. But we're happy to say this was NOT the case, and girls look just as good now as in the original. This means we'll be able to get back to PAD proper sooner rather than later, but in the meantime we're proud to announce Ink and Paint, a new, limited-scale game focusing on the under-utilized club from PAD. This game aims to provide a more realistic club experience, as any non-park manager might experience it. And don't worry, this should be treated as non-canon for those of you who worry about sharing. ;)

In this first release, you can expect:

• Five girls from the original game, plus an all-new interactable character

• A dynamic relationship system that involves discovering a girl's preferences in order to unlock things faster

• The return of multiple themed outfits

• Over a dozen pinups

• Five animated scenes

• A verbose progress tracker and replay gallery

• Countless background secrets and easter eggs

• An "authentic" club experience
