I like the tone you're going for, but as I'm sure you already know it's very one dimensional. I'm not sure what you're working with as far as your kit, but introducing some backlighting would bring depth and options, even if it means including unconventional light sources you may have access to, like car headlights or flashlights.
these are just me testing a light I just bought. There's no other intentions other than that, though I know what you mean. check the description of this post
I know reacting to 3 episodes at a time is a lot but I cant wait for the next part of andor, when can we expect it?
Tales from the Dark side. Vaguely
Scratch up another for Mandy
Looks straight out of Mandy to me.
Behind you!
It's giving me Sci fi and folk horror vibes. Not quite Panos Cosmatos or Lynchian but something in that realm.
Beautiful stuff bro. I dabble in photography too I'm curious about the picture with the trees, were you using gels for the red light? It doesn't look like a digital effect. How long was the exposure? You must have really low air pollution to capture the sky so well.
Went up in the mountains here in Colorado around 4am so the light pollution was super low. No gels on this light for this shot! Hard lighting hitting the trees in combination of the time I shot this at..! Even the blur is organic from the wine glasses I used to distort the lens!
Awesome! Getting huge Alan Wake 2 / Control vibes... hint hint
Was just about to say this, Remedy games are absolutely amazing. Sam Lake is a genius.
Picture of the trees reminds me of the cover for Punisher by Phoebe Bridgers
Reminds me of how awesome Andor is
I don't know anything about lighting, but I know that looks really cool!
Very Lynchian and reminds me of The VVitch for some reason.
Ooooou, this gives me an idea!
OMG, I LOVE these!!! It doesn't remind me of anything specific, but totes cool for a horror or sci-fi ambience (or a surreal psychodrama.) I hope we get to see some footage from you soon!
Testing out these shots for a potential visual around this location! Just needed to create the draft/mood board first!
Bro…I literally just dmed you asking about this lighting yesterday 😂
Hahaha, just messaged you back!
Also, Twin Peaks roadhouse lighting!
❤
The night sky with the red lighting reminds me of the iconic intersection from Dark, with the red traffic light.
Love Dark!
