Common Mistakes
Do NOT buy the child birth bed or surgery bed from build and buy and place them in your hospital, doing so will cause the give birth interaction to cancel itself, you can only place down surgery machines

hi! sounds like your sim might be in the hospital for an emergency csection in which case they dont dilate, you need to get the epidural and one it kicks in you will be able to give birth

Hello, I'm having a problem and I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if it's got something to do with my laptop/space. Until a few days ago your mod worked just fine. But suddenly I can't play the Goth household when I have it installed. Whenever I try, I just end up in an infinite loading screen. It took me like 2 days to find out that it MIGHT (not even 100% sure) be this mod. I don't know what to do anymore as I tried everything I could think of. Deleting the mod is something I really don't want to do, cs I love it, but I have literally no more ideas what could be wrong besides the space/speed of my laptop or something like that. If you have any idea what I could have done wrong, I would be so grateful.

hi, none of the birth method would work except for unassisted birth, your game will break if you place down any birth objects such as birth pillow, birth pool, birth bed
Hello, I've been attempting to get this mod for two days. I have tried everything that was suggested for downloading it. I deleted all of my mods for this one, and it still didn't pop up in my game. im having a problem where when i give birth as soon as shes about to push the baby out they pause and I can move the other sims but not the doctor and the sims that is giving birth
It sounds like your game is lagging, if your hospital is really big try making it smaller
Hello ever since the new Sims update my mod hasn’t been working. I can’t do any interactions with my Sims partner. For example, Can’t pop balloon for gender reveal together, only alone. My Sims partner can’t give them back massage on the ball when they’re in labor. Also the whole Premature labor don’t not work at all for me.

I’ve re downloaded this many times and it won’t let me feed the baby the pumped breast milk from the bottle, and it won’t give me the option to use the other pregnancy test, or the cuddle.
It really sounds like your script mod is not installed correctly

Hello, I just installed this mod. I go to the hospital to have the baby but after my sim gives birth, the baby doesn't show up and goes immediately to daycare. My sim doesn't get any moodlets after delivery. The baby shows up back home, but the game doesn't recognize my sim as her mother/caregiver. She can't breastfeed and when I age up the baby to infant the only options are to "Adopt" or "Be introduced by...". I'm not sure if it's a mod issue or an EA issue

You have it because the mod needs it, but it doesn’t need you to place it down manually if that make sense
My sim is having an issue giving birth at the hospital. When she's fully dilatated and has asked the obstetrician to give birth, the obstetrician just waves their hands around with a chat bubble of the surgery machine. The machine is placed so I'm not sure what the issue is?
Try moving it around and removing anything that might be overlapping the surgery machine
Hi again. Sorry for the inconvenience but now I have the opposite problem in that everything is working its just that I don't have the cc in build mode. When I search for pump or yoga ball they don't show. And I downloaded the most recent version and also used that mccc method to check for duplicates if maybe that was why. I have no clue what's wrong now 😭

Hello :) whenever I make my sim call obstetrician she pulls out the phone but immediately puts it back and nothing pops up. I still have many cc from the mod that work like the yoga ball however not the birth pool. Ii made sure to download the most recent update and even removed it them placed it in the folder again but it's still not working. What's going on?

Hello! I have just installed the mod for the very first time and wanted to do pregnancy check ups. But no animation happens after I click get a Pap smear or get an ultrasound. It simply just disappears from there queue; I used both tables from build and by mode after putting the cheats in. Am I doing something wrong? ☹️

Yes I ended up deleting and redownloading it and I got it to work!
Im having a problem with pumping. My sim does the animation of pumping with the breast pump but then no milk appears in the inventory. She breast feeds the baby no problem. I have other mods have you noticed any issues with that with any other specific mods?
Also, I get the moodlite that her breast are full and the pumping doesn't help it

Yes! I call the obstetrician & it let's me chose the birth at home option but I can never call a midwife & none of my interactions work with the baby dad. It allows me to click on everything but they either don't do it or they "do" but it doesn't show.

Hi! So I just updated your mod and for some reason, none of my interactions work, I can't call my midwife and my sim doesn't dilate while birthing at home. If I have my sims husband try giving her a massage on the yoga ball, or any other interactions dealing with the birth mod nothing works. Also it used to be where my sims wouldn't produce milk/or their boob's would fill and hurt and that's not working either. Help?

Hello :) For some reason whenever I try to send my pregnant sim to checkups or to give birth, my game reverts back to the world map page and won't load. I have checked to make sure that I don't have any old copies of the mod and I definitely don't. I've gone through the list of possible mod conflicts and I don't have any of the conflicting mods. I've used this mod for over a year and I haven't had any issues until the last week. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod a few times but nothing seems to be working. I love your mod so much and it makes me sad that it's having issues now. I would love any advice because I am completely stumped.
Hi, it appears your hospital lot might be corrupt. I have a tutorial that should allow you to reset the lot but you have to join my discord as the tutorial is still experimental so it is in only in my discord

Hi, you can ignore when it says 9 days. I had to modify the labour time prevent the sim from giving birth in with a bassinet. When your sim is at the hospital, you can dilate your sim and continue the birthing process, they’ll give birth when they are fully dilated

Hi, you have to start home birth first before you can call the mod wife, your sim has to be lactating using the child birth mod to breastfeed their toddlers. Make sure to read the mod instruction

You have to use the show hidden object cheat and go into build and buy mod to purchase the default one, you should be able to find it by searching “surgery machine”. You shouldn’t have to remove her cc if they are just recolours

hi, if you have ww maybe try regular woohoo. A few people have had this issue and it seems another mod is blocking the pregnancy test option from showing up, but none had any luck figuring out which mod it is. Eventually the option just showed up after a few tries

I'm having the same complication. I can add the items (the pool and pillows) but they all say "debug" and have no interaction for them. I'm excited to find a solution, this mod is fantastic and brings such depth to the game.

If you change the household limits with a mod then there won’t be any issues.

If it still shows as cc then the override file is still in your mods folder, there’s no other way to fix it besides finding that file and removing it, im also not sure what it could be, there’s too many cc out there for me to keep track : /

Mine doesnt give the option to have the support with the ball. When I click the bed, I see the options for ask for epidural, and check dilation, but the third option is just the hospital sign. When I click the sign, my sim doesnt do anything

It does include twin and triplets animation, but the animation sometimes doesn’t play correctly. Make sure to not speed up the game when your sim is laying on the birth bed
I have the baby mama trait by Muvasimmer on my current Sim. She has given birth natural and c-section. I have no issues in-game.

from what I understand it works but you just need to temporarily remove their title before they go to the hospital. and it is currently unknown how it will perform with home birth

You likely still have an older version of the child birth mod in your mods folder, double check to make sure you have v2c and only v2c installed
I use both try for baby and ww, could it be because I used mccc to go from 1st trimester to in labor to see if the mod was working 🤷🏻♀️

Did your sim get pregnant through ww? The animation curretnly doesn’t work with ww pregnancies. The breathing exercise issue is being looked into

My sim's support person never comes next to the bed when my sim is giving birth.
You have to ask him to accompany child birth first
I love this mod! I recently used it in a machinima on my youtube! It was so fun to work with. I have the birth certificate mod by little miss sam and it didnt cancel the skin to skin contact in my game. Please dont ever stop working on this mod, it is amazing and we love you ;D
I don't get it... I placed down the regular looking exam bed and everything went perfectly fine with my Sim's birth? This is kind of a confusing post because at first you said Sims cannot access the surgery tables to give birth, but then you said we can't buy and place anything BUT the surgery tables or the birth won't work? ETA: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I didn't realize you said any CUSTOM CONTENT surgery machines lol. But my Sim's birth still worked perfectly fine when I placed the regular exam bed lol.

Idk if you remember me telling you awhile back about not having the option to accompany my pregnant sim by significant other (SO) and you replied back stating it could be the romantic/friendship levels might've been too low...my apologies for not responding sooner especially on that post but I did get around to testing that theory out and unfortunately I'm still not able to have that option in game even with the new mod...it still gives me the option to accompany to abortion like you stated..that's from another mod so maybe the 2 mods are conflicting...I'll take out the other one to see if that's the issue which 9/10 it probably is...I'll get back to you and let you know...Thanks Again for your hardwork and dedication to making TS4 great again! awe thank you! you are so sweet. and that is really strange. is your sim already pregnant and in at least their second trimester? I just looked at my code again and I forgot I used that as one of the requirement for the option to appear.
Since this new update, my sim can't have her baby at the hospital. The epidural and check for dilation options are there but I keep getting a "pop up asking if I want to send my sim to the hospital" and because of that my sim never gets passed 1cm dilated. The birthing process starts all over when the pop up comes up.
Mine was doing the same thing...I messed around and went out of the birthing process to go attend an event I had planned and when it was over...I had to restart the birthing process all over again...then after I had the baby...the message popped up again to *Have baby at hospital*. I went home and my pregnant sim was STILL pregnant lol...might I add the baby was in game...so when I went back to go thru the birthing process for a 3rd time...her belly went back to normal besides the baby fat she gained from being pregnant but it did not produce a 2nd baby of course bc it was already back at home with dad lol...I suggest trying to as always...clear your cache...maybe start up the game in a new save file if you haven't already and see what happens...as long as you can get thru birthing process...the option will disappear...I kept the old version as well to compare the 2 and before the new update the 1st mod did not do this...

i know someone with a cracked version who so far hasn't had any issues idk since the new update but they have a pregnant sim so we'll see soon

Hi there. And thank you once again for this update on your work and all this great info. The only mod of the ones listed above that I use is Little Miss Sam's Advanced Birth Certificate Mod and It has not affected your mods in my game. Also, just for info for other players, I use a custom hospital that I built and I just use the regular in-game surgery machines and they work just fine. You absolutely do not need to put in the CC ones. This mod works as an override and the ones in the Build/Buy are just there to override the regular ones.
why will it not work on legacy edition?

I have the learn to read mod and I haven't had any problems using the mods together. My sim gave birth each time without canceling
So far, the Birth Certificate mod by LittleMissSam has not caused me any problems...
Ya it seems like it’s only causing issues in some peoples game which is why I listed it under potential conflict 😆
