How to Install Script Mod Tutorial (With Pcitures)
Hi guys! this is a tutorial teaching you how to install script mods.
some of you are having trouble seeing the "call Obstetrician" option on your phone when using the Child birth mod. If that happens 99% it is because the script mod was not installed correctly, and you need to follow this tutorial to correct your installation
Step 1: download the mod file and unzip it, This is the only file you can unzip, if you unzip the .ts4script file you will be on the naughty list forever
you should get two files like this once unzipped. the name might be different depending on the version, but as long as you get two files, you are good
Step 2: put both files the folder names Mods in your sims4 folder
Step 3: make sure the files are in the right format, the icon on your computer might look different and that's ok, what's important is one file ends in .package and the other ends in .ts4script
it CANNOT look like this
Step 5: Go into your game and enable script mod if you havent done so, you will need to restart your game if this is your first time enabling script
once you do that you should be able to see the call obstetrician option on your phone as long as your sim is pregnant and in at least their first trimester

hi i'm a bit late and you have probably already discovered how to do it but if you havent soo u have to click ctrl+shift+c and then type bb.enablefreebuild

i have both my files, the .package and .ts4script but i still dont see the option to call and have an ultrasound. i have never downloaded any other birthing mod before so im not sure what the issue is.
Hi, sounds like you put the files too deep in your mods folder, move them to mods directly
The childbirth settings menu isn’t there when I click on my sim, i checked all the might cuases problems

I downloaded the newest version and i checked that the other versions aren’t in my folder but i don’t have any of the objects or interactions??
You either didn’t install correctly, have old versions, or downloaded the disabler
Hi! I hope you are well :) I just wanted to mention that I have the Mod Conflict Detector and I have the most recent Childbirth mod installed, but the ts4script is coming up as broken.. I'm not sure if that's just a glitch with the conflict detector, or if I've installed it wrong etc. Sorry to be a pain, have a lovely day/evening!

I have installed the mod correctly and I can do everything except when the birth starts and I call the midwife and no one comes and I also don't get the option to go to the hospital to give birth, so I have to go home but the midwife doesn't come, what is the problem? Hope you can help me!

Hi there, Did you check for old version of the mod in your mods folder? I do you have better build and buy installed make sure to enable custom content in the object filter
I downloaded the update but home birth still isn't available. I have the pillows and pool, but no option for a homebirth or a midwife.

Hi! I just downloaded it, and I'm not sure why but it doesn't work. I don't have the birth pool or pillows and there is no option to call the OB. I've checked the file names and they are exactly as they should be, my sim is in her 2nd trimester, and I even deleted the mod and re configured everything and I'm still having no luck.
It really sounds like you don’t have the files installed correctly, or didn’t enable cc and script mods.

if you have the birth pillows on your bed remove the birth pillows.
Hey, so I can call the obstetrician and the other things work fine, but when my sim went to go have a baby after she was fully dilated she never had the baby. Like she would sit on the bed and it would say delivering baby, but she would just hop off and go sit on the exam bed or walk around
hi! something could be conflicting with the child birth mod. could you try taking all other mods and cc out, and only leave the child birth mod in to see if it fixes the issue?

I did everything step by step. I even removed all my mod, except for the child birth mod and I don't see any option to call obstetrician when I click on the phone :-(

When my pregnant sim arrives at the hospital, the ask for epidural option has already been chosen and I can't ask any of the obgyns to check for dilation as the option isn't available, what should I do.

I see the usual phone options I don’t see a call option. When she gives birth it asks me to go to the hospital then she lays on that machine
then something happened to the script file. be sure to follow the steps closely, if you still dont see it then it could be due to a mod conflict as a few people have reported

So I only click sims 4 folder and put it in that one

So I have a folder that says sims 4 and I click that and I have a folder that's says mods
I love this mod been a patron of yours since the first toddler toys I was a bit nervous about the natural birth option I quickly went through the notes it got to the dilation and then the option to give birth came up I was like phew as being a mum myself I can totally relate to this. I think you did it very well however dilation only goes upto 7cm.

Hii! I love this mod and all your mods, I wanna suggest you to make the realistic birth mod have birth troubles. Like where when the sim goes into labor there’s chance the baby won’t make it and if the baby doesn’t the sim gets emotionally impacted. Also that what your sim does affect the baby. No seafood or heavy lifting or drugs. Your sim can fall or have accidents while pregnant and have miscarriages.
