Modding Diary - Sing to baby and almost read to baby
Hi Guys! I hope you all are well!
First of all this week I added a NICU piemenu and put all my interactions there, I think its more organized this way 😊
Then I worked on and finished the "Sing To Baby Interaction", sims will sing one of four songs to their baby🥺
Then I tried to work on the "Read To Baby" interaction again
The good news is the baby is selectable now :D
The bad news is sims are refusing to pick up the book and is reading an invisible book to their baby D : why must I suffer this way, Im going to poke at it again next week and hopefully find a fix🤞
you guys gave me really good suggestions last week, 😍there were alot of comments, and I know I don't respond to every single one but I always read all of them. based on your suggestions I want to see if its possible to add a digital display screen to the incubator so that it can change depending on the health condition of the baby
I also want to make it possible for sims to ask the doctors for update their baby's condition, I think this should be doable, hopefully it doesn't throw me another curve ball.

This is amazing thanks so much for the time and effort to make this mod. Can a baby possibly have a setback or two? I know a lot of NICU babies tend to take one step forward and two back before they are well enough to come home?? Again your work is brilliant!!

Hi Panda. :) This is sooo great. The singing thing is so sweet, the fact that they can sing several songs and the fact that you can now also feed them breast milk! I think it's just as great that you've now added your own menu item. :) The book thing is funny. :D At least they're reading to the little ones now. *heart eyes* I'm really curious to see whether everything you've planned will work out. I love this. And especially the pie meny tab. Will that work on other stuff in game that has actions from you? And on the sims?
This is pretty amazing. I wish I knew how to code. I was reading the post and thinking like hmm, what about things like blood transfusions. if something went wrong maybe a blood transfusion was needed. But man with this new pack coming it would be wild if sims were finding out they weren’t the father due to something like a blood transfusion and not being a match because the baby isn’t theirs
Yeah, I can hardly ever get my sims to complete even the vanilla "read to child" interactions successfully. The sing interaction is such a cute idea I wish it could be a thing for all babies! (Ooh, or even better a lullaby interaction for putting infants or toddlers to bed 🥰)
Yes, I'd love a lullaby interaction. I wish we would be able to sing these new songs to our infants and toddlers too, please. Maybe PandaSama might be able to make it available for those ages. I hope that she might take this into consideration.
Reading books to any life stage, is so bugged. Maybe why you are having trouble.
