Statement EA Policy

Hi everyone,

The last two weeks have probably shaken most of the Sims community. I had to think a long time about how to continue and if I should leave the community. The whole situation is very demotivating for me and threatening messages why you still can't download my buildings for free don't exactly contribute to continue to invest around 60 hours per week for new Sims houses besides my main job.

I never intended to share my houses and it was a process due to more and more requests. I have built up a small group of loyal supporters who I love to build for and always try to meet their needs and wishes. I really enjoy building for all these lovely acquaintances and now friends, but still the step to publish my buildings and make them available to everyone is very painful for me. It is a process of letting go and relinquishing control and I have to be honest, I am reluctant to publish houses to everyone that I have put so much heart and soul into and then have to share them with people who don't value my work, who insult me and curse me and even wish me dead because my buildings have not been made publicly available. It really hurts me and I absolutely cannot understand the new EA guidelines. Of course, the community is not just haters or patreon supporters and I am aware that there are many more great sim players out there who will play incredibly great stories with my houses. Let me see it, tag me, link back to the post and be responsible with my buildings, don't re-upload them anywhere whether modified or not. They are my little treasures, so please treat them as you would if you had something precious to share with the world.

So as you can now hear nicely, all my houses are now coming in Early Access. I'm not going to give a timeframe as EA has said take a responsible amount of time and so it has to suit me personally. Any buildings that have been released to everyone, I will no longer update or offer any support, regarding bugs, outdated links or WCIF.

I will try it out until the end of the year to see how it goes and if I feel comfortable with it, otherwise I will have to leave the community with a heavy heart and look for another side income.

Once again, I would like to thank all my supporters for your loyalty, your kind words, your patience and for the incentive you always give me to create something new that I might need. Besides my main job as an art therapist, you make it possible for me to do something that regenerates me, lets me process and sometimes also builds me up again. You give me strength, energy and the financial possibility to continue my therapeutic further education. Thank you! Feel hugs from me to all of you, I am so incredibly grateful <3

It's truly devastating what EA has done to a lot of amazing creators like yourself. :/
