Demons Within Update 16 BETA release date!

It's my pleasure to finally be able to announce that the BETA for Update 16 for higher level patrons will be released on...

Next Monday, October 26th!

This update is a big one. Not necessarily content-wise, although we do have both chill times and important, serious times in it. I think I'm still kinda managing to release it back on the usual schedule, at least. I had an advantage of having a lot of it written as we waited for Update 15's art assets, as some of you remember, however...

I took the opportunity of having the extra time to do a LOT of code changes I've been wanting to make for a while. A lot of these code updates won't be visible for the player, but it should make things run smoother for phone users and, most of all, make it MUCH easier for me to code things in a more organized way in the future, which should speed up development of future updates.

I'll talk a bit more about that on the release notes of the update. It's not ALL code changes, though! Some of you might remember that a few updates ago I took some extra time to update the game's Ren'py version to 8.5 to use some of its new feature. The biggest one there that I wanted was shaders! I think you'll see some of the results of that in Update 16 as I start to dabble on that!

For now, this is it! There's a chance this version will remain in Beta for a little bit longer as I would like to have people's help in making sure ALL of the game is working as intended after the big changes everywhere. That's not guaranteed, though, so we'll see!
