Did I ever mention that I’m a sucker for musicals? Would love to hear Alan’s view of Hamilton as a movie of a play told through songs. So much there for Jonathan to unpack.

I was caught between 3:10 to Yuma and Shawshank (there's soooo much in both), so I asked my 2.5yo (who has seen neither) and they said "Shawshank" so that's what I went with 😄

I want 3:10 to Yuma even though I haven't seen it just because I know Jono will fully geek out and give us the full deep dive into why he thinks it's so important!

Why can't I choose more than one????? I mean, I KNOW why, but WHY??? Iwant 4/5 of them! There should be an All Of The Above option! I went with Hamilton because, I adore the musical, I adore Lin-Manuel Miranda, and there are some pretty awesome themes to be picked out from it.

Man I’m behind on my movies …. I guess I’ll have to watch Yuma And Hamilton. Les Miz .. love “One Day More!” Been years since I’ve seen the movie with Hugh Jackman, though. I hear the London cast album in my brain when I think of it … Colm Wilkinson and Patti Lupone. Man the ensemble numbers though. I remember years ago when the touring company came to Salt Lake. My mother and I were BAWLING by the end of Act 1, and there were rivers of tears flowing down the aisles during “Bring Him Home.” There were tears of laughter when we saw “The Producers” and “Spam-a-Lot.” I’m not sure what Cinema Therapy could make out of The Producers (Zero Mostel) or Monty Python’s The Holy Grail. Gene Wilder and hysteria? The Black Knight and not giving up … Tis but a scratch! I can just see Alan and Jono’s outro on that one: Jono: I’m not dead! I feel happy! Alan: We’d better not risk a frontal assault … that rabbit is dynamite!” AND JUST WATCH MOVIES!

Shawshank Redemption! I’m gonna cry for sure!

I’m picking Yuma just because I have heard Jono say it’s his favorite movie so many times! He deserves to wax physiological about his faves!

I really love both Shawshank and Inception, BUT! I feel like Shawshank will make for a more emotional episode, and those are my favorite. ☺️

Curious which 3:10 to Yuma you reference, the 1957 classic or the 2007 version?

I am a very indecisive person LOL But one of my absolutely favorite movies is Shawshank Redemption. BUT I would also love to see the Hamilton one…. The Les Mis movie was trash, but not the worst musical re-creation. That might be fun too…. And Inception… dammit you see my indecisiveness LOL All of them sound great
