DIRECTOR'S CUT: Therapist Reacts to WEATHERING WITH YOU

Can you be too selfless? Did Hodaka and Hina do the right thing?

Licensed therapist Jonathan Decker and filmmaker Alan Seawright are completing Makoto Shinkai’s Disaster Trilogy by reacting to Weathering with You. They talk about losing the sense of being care-free in our youth and what it means to give too much of ourselves to others. And they discuss the role of environmental phenomena in storytelling and how they affect human emotions.
