That's right, Tropicali is back and it's going to be better than ever!
TL;DR: Tropicali is now on Steam— FULLY VOICE ACTED. NEW ART. NEW H SCENES. ONE NEW ENDING. Over 350 CGs.

Welcome to Tropicali: Pacific Paradise!
We've spent the time since finishing the Koi version completely overhauling the game, from entirely new animated Live2D art, to full voice acting and new music!
The Koi version of the game will seem like just a proof of concept by comparison to what we have for you now!
Even better, you'll be able to get Tropicali: Pacific Paradise! right on Steam. The store page is up right now, and every person who Wishlists it will be helping us out enormously!

Here's a quick Q&A to explain more about the project. Feel free to post any questions of your own in the comments below, and I can add them to the list with answers!
Q) What is this version of Tropicali? What's different? Where can I get it?
A) Tropicali: Pacific Paradise! is a complete remake and upgrade of Tropicali.
It features fully animated Live2D art, full voice acting for the entire cast, brand new music and even new h-scenes!
As long as everything goes to plan, it will be releasing in its entirety on Steam!
Q) Oh no, not a remake. When is the first update for Tropicali: Pacific Paradise releasing? Are you going to drag this out, and drip feed new content for years?
A) Tropicali: Pacific Paradise! will be coming out in early 2027.
It will not be releasing in parts, updates or chapters. It will be coming out 100% complete and not a moment sooner.
Luckily, it's nearly finished. I didn't want to announce anything about it until it was almost ready, and now we're finally here!
I will not be taking any pre-orders for it, but Wishlisting it on our Steam page will help us out a ton!
Q) This sounds completely different from the Koi version that I know, what's going to happen to that version? Can I still play it?
A) Nothing!
The existing Tropicali build has been renamed Tropicali: Koi Edition and will remain up on itch.io for free, as always.
If you enjoyed it, you can still play it to your heart's content! For all intents and purposes, it's an entirely separate game from Tropicali: Pacific Paradise!
Q) Why Live2D? Aren't you a 3D artist?
A) The long and short answer is that Koikatsu games cannot go on Steam for a variety of reasons.
Luckily for me, I met our fantastic and dedicated artist DatHoasi while helping on another project and over the last two years we've worked hard to try making a Steam viable version of the game. (Work on Pacific Paradise actually began before the Koi version even finished!)
But rather than just simply doing a remake, we decided to go all in and make the game even better! That's why each main girl is fully voice acted by some of the most talented actresses in the business! (Directed by yours truly)
Q) Are there any other changes in Tropicali: Pacific Paradise besides the art, voice acting and music?
A) Yes, this was a good opportunity for some updates to the script and for some new h-content!
The biggest changes will be with Gloria, but there's been some other refinements scattered throughout the story. Mostly things I've wanted to change since I wrote them, but never had the chance to.
There will be some new h-scenes as well, but for the most part the entire game will feel completely fresh now that it's beautifully voiced!
Q) Did you use AI to help create Tropicali: Pacific Paradise?
A) Absolutely not. There will never be any generative AI used in any of my projects.
If anything looks like a stupid mistake, it was made by a real life stupid person (me).
Q) How much do you plan on charging for Tropicali: Pacific Paradise?
A) $14.99!
Beyond just the new art, a huge amount of time and resources were spent making sure the entire story is fully voice acted which I believe will make the experience well worth the price.
Q) Will there be an Android version for Tropicali: Pacific Paradise?
A) There is no plan at this time to make an official Android version, but it's still just Ren'py so I'm sure someone can figure it out if they want it.
Q) If Tropicali: Pacific Paradise does well, would you consider doing a sequel?
A) Absolutely, yes. It would probably be easier than what it took to remake Tropicali 1.
Again, if we get 20,000+ Wishlists, we will start production on Tropicali 2 immediately.

Was a fun ride, would love to do it again. The whole guilt aspect in the story is interesting, but funny, considering the MC doesn't really do anything that bad tbh (depending on choices). But one of the few games that cover the morality of such things with more honesty.

The game looks amazing! Just a quick question about the German market. Due to Steam's regional restrictions, we won't be able to buy it there. Are you planning to offer an alternative way to purchase Steam keys, maybe right here on Patreon or itch? Relying on external platforms for gifted copies is super inconvenient and risky. Would love a direct option!
We don't have the details quite nailed down yet, but we'll make sure everyone who wants the game can get it even if it ends up being through Patreon or Itch
