Statement on the current itch.io and censorship situation
Hi everyone,
As you are no doubt aware by now, itch.io is being forced by payment processors and a small set of activists into censoring huge swathes of their catalog in a misguided attempt to curtail nsfw content.
There are many better sources for info regarding that whole situation than me, so I will spare you any repetition.
Please read itch.io's own statement: https://itch.io/updates/update-on-nsfw-content
The important matter that I thought was worth posting is simply this:
We're not going anywhere. They can pry Out of Touch from my cold, dead hands.
Thank you,

To hell with itch.io will never use them again.
itch.io handled the situation extremely poorly, and should have *started* with the announcement instead of going radio silent for nearly 6 hours before saying anything. That being said, itch.io has always been run by clowns but this ultimately isn't because of them. They have to bark when told to, because otherwise the whole site would be cut off from Stripe, which is why you can pay using a debit/credit card at all. The people to blame are Mastercard, Visa and Discover for pushing all of this, and the idiots who lobbied for them to do so in the first place.
Such a good example of why artists and creators need to have as diverse of portfolios as they can. Happy many those guys have patreons to fall back on and sad for those who don't. Shit is fucked up.
