Progress Update - Episode 16

Since the renders are almost done, I (Nyx/Val) will take over again and give you the latest news. The story renders are close to being finished; only a few are left. But then there are the +/- 100 renders that need to be remade with the new background asset, but that won't take too long. I hope all those will be done sometime next week.
The post-render work will go quickly too. There aren't that many renders. So, I guess I can finish that in about 2 days.
Coding won't take much time either since there isn't much branching in this episode. I think I can do it in 1 day. There's only 1 extra scene that's only obtainable on a specific path, but the rest is pretty much linear, except for a few dialogue changes here and there depending on what relationship status you have with certain girls.
Then there's the music part. There are still some sound files I've been looking for and need. Once I have those, it's just a quick code change.
The next episode will also include all the changes that the Steam release has. Specifically, the new UI and save system. For the sneaky ones among you, I hope you have the latest Steam patch...
The episode will also include the reworked episode 5 and partly episode 6. I haven't continued working on the remake for 6 since I haven't done any renders for this upcoming episode either. The rework will continue with episode 17.

Now about this episode. As mentioned many, many times already: It's short. It's very short! It could have been finished a month earlier, but we had 2 new people creating the renders who had no prior experience. Plus the 3 weeks of vacation. They also only had time after their full-time jobs, and so on. I still think they did absolutely amazing! I hope you can leave a thank you to Sača and Alessio because without them there wouldn't be an episode any time soon since I had much bigger priorities these last months. But since I have the time again now, I'll be taking over again. And it's gonna be just me again, with Alessio sometimes jumping in when I don't have time. But Sača is happy she's done with it.
Since people are still confused about what this episode is about, I'll mention it again. It's only there to finish the blackmail plotline. There won't be any relationship progress, dates or anything of that sort with the LIs. That will continue in episode 17.
As many already know. It's not my favourite. This episode wasn't supposed to happen as it is and I've only written it to end that plot as quickly as possible, so you can go back to what you enjoy the most, and that is all the different relationships and the drama they bring.
I'm gonna be completely honest about this episode. It's not worth the high-tier membership. So save your money and wait till it drops or wait for the next release. Of course, I'd love your support, but when it's not worth the amount, I want to be honest and tell you.
One thing that Sača mentioned last progress update. There's still one big question that won't be answered in this episode. The answer just didn't fit in this episode. You will learn about it later, but it won't have any further effect on any route. Except for when I change my mind and still make some changes. It gives me options.
