EARLY ACCESS: Christine

I am also a hoe for 50's & 60's cars with the fins. If I could find one that's restored, I'd absolutely keep it as a summer How is dude going to ask if Artie is mad after being one of the ones that trashed his car? LOL I'm not so sure this was a night vision movie, but hey.. another classic under our belts right?

It never occurred to me til this watch, but the 58 Fury (like all cars at the time) had a steel bumper and steel frame. How did the bullies punch in the front with hammers? Also the engine was steel, they punched like 2 feet in...I'm starting to think this movie is unrealistic:)

I loved that you loved this movie. I think the 70's high school culture is really well realised and the acting is quite naturalistic, and they do a great job of imbuing the car with a personality, helped by the effects which look so cool and haven't aged a day. Easily top 5 Carpenter for me, also Stephen King is the GOAT; other adaptations of his that you've reacted to - The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Misery, Dolores Claiborne (he's done such a multitude of things so I may have even forgotten one).

Trivia: the actress who plays Arnie's mom (coincidentally, also named Christine) grew up in Long Island New York. When she was young, her parents sold their house on Ocean Avenue to another family moving to the affluent suburb from the city. That house became infamous when six members of that family were murdered, giving rise to the Amityville Horror and a long running movie franchise of its own. Ashleigh's already covered the OG in the franchise :)

When are you going to watch "CUJO"? It's definitely a Monday Friday night vision worthy movie!
