big brain Ashleigh seems to have left the room when it came to Jake. I was surprised the whole movie. And, no, I dont think your Frank theory was that bad actually. Ive seen this at least 20 times and it nvr occurred to me. That was a good angle. This reminds me of Vanilla Sky. Yes, 2 way different stories, but in the same boat, for me. And yea its also cuz they came out around the same time. And that time was 9/11. But that aside, just how intense these few movies were that came out around those years 'before-after' .. and what they meant to me, or how they made me feel a certain way. But that Frank theory of yours got me thinkin..."just like VS...Its all in his fkng head" ...great reaction. Need more like this sometimes. Just smoke up wtvr, and 'zone' into it. Like, todays my bday. And this was a nice treat for me...cuz I did JUST THAT! lol. very few moments of relaxation recently. Thnx Ashleigh aaand! had to come back to write this...at the end of the day, was Donnie Darko really a superhero?
Wow.. this movie is for sure a mindfuck. I've always wanted to watch it and never did.. until now. Very interesting. And YES that was Patrick Swayze!! I had no idea so many big names were in this movie!
Yup. You nailed it. He had to sacrifice himself to fix things. He should have died in the primary universe.
Hey Ashleigh, you failed to recognize Jake Gyllenhal as the main character, plus one of the students was a young Seth Rogan! lol. Plus, Maggie Gyllenhal even played his on-screen sister!
And Drew Barrymore as one of the teachers! Also I'm not sure if she knows Noah Wyle (he's on The Pitt right now, but he was on ER for a LONG time... and in The Librarian series..)
This is one that you need to watch a few times. It's like a weird time loop thing that folds in on itself or something. The important thing is that that you smoke a weed cigarette and watch it. The Director's Cut is pretty good too.
Great Video Ashleigh! This is one of my favorite love stories. Just another way to think about it. Thanks ya!
OMG I haven’t watched this in forever and completely forgot that the theatre I worked at when I was a teenager was in this movie!!! I loved that theatre it had the best popcorn, no cash register, and was a single theatre that played double features. My dad was the projectionist dude that put all the small reels on to the big one 😂. Ahh the good old days at the Aero theatre in Santa Monica. Had fun reminiscing and love this movie. So weird and keeps you entertained all the way through.
That rambling attempt to explain this movie is exactly how most people feel. I found it pretty entertaining to try to follow. :) I try to just enjoy this movie and not figure it all out. The twist that he never escaped the plane engine crashing on his house is good enough for me. :)
you are NOT overthinking this one, this movie has been fucking with peoples heads for decades
oh this is gonna be fun to watch :)
I'm sure this movie made Burton not be terrified of plane disasters. Totally not more afraid. 😎
