ok slight spoiler. sam dident know aboout "the stuff out there" until he was pretty old like 10-13 or something. dean and dad keeped him pretty out of it. dean dident have that, he knew from the age of like 4-5, because he had to protect sam. this show is fantastic at the family diynamics and releationships. john gets alot of hate and yeah hes not my fav. but int he end he learnd something exstreamly scary and decited to not only protect his own family but as many others as he could too....yeah that did make him handle sam and dean in not the greatst way. but at the end of the day. they r all human. and john does get to show his good sides too. dont knwo if u remember but theres 4 years betwin dean and sam.

Love how passionate you are about these characters. Sam is absolutely in his own feelings, but story wise it鈥檚 how we get that great window into Dean鈥檚 sense of family, responsibility, and sacrifice. Can鈥檛 wait to see how your views develop as their story progresses. It鈥檚 quite a ride. 馃榿
Right there with you Ashleigh about Dean.
OMG not young Sam watching Thundercats!! I'm with you about Sam. He doesn't realize or appreciate how much Dean had to take on. He really had to grow up fast because their dad was gone so much. Dean was the only one left to take care of Sam. That's a LOT for a kid.
The way you鈥檙e mad at Sam in this ep I鈥檓 mad at John because why is he leaving Dean and Sam alone for days and putting it all on Dean to take care of him and Sam and fighting the striga? And since it鈥檚 close to the end of the season I highly recommend reacting to the Supernatural gag reel for S1 once you鈥檙e done with the season. They鈥檙e up on YouTube.
oh that should be a must after each season. a palate cleanser if u will.
We love a good backstory episode. And I am right there with you on the Big Brother role Dean had to play. He wasnt just a brother. But a mom and a dad sometimes too.
