I was kinda expecting this to be set on Route 66 too, but I guess I get the correllation. So, Dean is NOT just an f-boy. Hmm.. ok.. lol
you have no idea how crazy things get. And I'm not telling. Just enjoy the boys being hot and tough with brief moments of sexy emotional vulnerability. The ladies go wild for the emotional scenes which they post fan videos about. I do ask one favor: the first time you weep at a sad scene, be sure and tell me. It might not even be this season, but when it happens, lmk. I'm curious what part of the series will have made you break. 馃
The story the mom tells about the church being set on fire recalls a real church bombing in 1963 where four little Black girls were murdered and dozens more injured. It was the KKK. Despite the investigation revealing suspects within a year, no one was prosecuted for over a decade. Only in 1977 was one man convicted of first degree murder, and it took until 2002 for the other conspirators to be indicted.
It was the "16th Street Baptist Church" in Birmingham, AL. There's a "Portrait-Plaque" for each one of the girls with their image on the entry way when you walk in. I know because I lived in Bham from ages 10-25 and I attended a speech given from then Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice at the church (where you learned stuff that was NOT in the papers). Also, the Civil Rights Museum is right next door where you see the massive injustice the people suffered.
I know you are probably on season 2 by now IRL lol, but if you are still interested. When this episode aired, Supernatural was on the WB network. Which, coincidently, was the same network the Buffyverse aired on.
but then dumbass WB execs moved BtVS to UPN, trying to force people to watch UPN, and Joss Whedon fought it and they told him "too bad". That's what killed the show (And Buffy) and why Season 8 was a comic instead. also killed "Star Trek: Enterprise", but that's a diff. rant, lol.
Spoiler but not, We NEVER hear about this girl ever again...big love my butt. But we are always reminded of the racist truck lol
