i still argue that the "plot holes" in the first movie arent plot holes. carter going to the one guy he knows that sells C4, c4 not being a common thing on the street, mind you, is not a plot hole.

This felt like an early 90's movie, but it's not an early 90's movie, which is, y'know... confusing. If Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan weren't so likeable, this movie would age worse than it has. Also, Chris Tucker showed off some major plot armor in this one, allowing him to get away with what would be fatally stupid choices in any other movie, like "Inspector Gadget" level buffoonery. But overall the movie is saved by the stunts and the chemistry between Chris and Jackie.

I was hoping to watch it on Netflix, but apparently this Brett Ratner opus is too classy to be shown to us lowly $9 tier Netflix subs. I can't remember if I liked this one enough to pay five bucks to rent it. Hmm, or I can own all three movies for $15... ::wiggles mouse cursor over Purchase Deal button:: Never mind that I might not ever watch them again after Nat's reacts. (I don't think I've seen RH2 since it was in theaters.)

Enjoyed these two reactions so much! Myself and my brother always used to quote the trilogy to each other growing up and still to this day, especially a scene in the third movie if/when you react to that. Enjoy your day, Nat! 😊

They upped the comedy in this one! I remember Chris Tucker said he heard people say they thought the first movie's bloopers were funnier than the whole film and he took that personally.

I was 12 when this came out and my buddies and I yelled "gefilte fish!!!" at each other for months after this 😆

The boat at the beginning was a hydrofoil. It has a "wing" underneath that, when it's going fast enough, lifts the hull up out of the water and reduces drag so it can go even faster.

Yeah, I never felt invested in this one like I was with the first. And Carter should have been dead on a dozen different occasions.

You really need to see some of Jackie Chan's Hong Kong action films too. He served as chief stunt coordinator for those films, and the amount of physical injuries he endured are INSANE (it's a miracle he is alive quite frankly)! MIRACLES (1989) and POLICE STORY (1985), both of which he directed, starred, wrote, and performed stunt coordination, have some insane stunts. There is a reason why Jackie got the Honorary Oscar 10 years ago.
