The cast is fantastic. James Coburn as Waternoose and Jennifer Tilly as Celia were outstanding! Hard to process that this movie is 25 years old... 🤯
please monsters university
I have to wonder about the Slumber Party incident. One kid having nightmares and running into their parents' room is one thing. But a group of girls awake and witnessing the same big furry monster, who can all corroborate each other and what it looked like? I feel like that would've become a headline in the human world.
I love how the news style countdown guy starts the countdown at 7 and he has 7 fingers
This movie is so good. You gotta love each detail they put in.
Monsters University next?
I know I saw that, but have no memory of the plot.
its a shame its not on streaming services or even dvd's i dont think but there was after credits stuff of like pretend bloopers and a follow up of mike's musical. not sure why but again, shame they dont put the bloopers at least in the credits for these films.
I know! I don't know why Disney+ removed it from the credits! They didn't do that with A Bug's Life or Toy Story 2. It was such a hilarious payoff. I wish they still did bloopers, they were so much fun.
Awwww! I love this movie, and I knew you'd probably cry at this one, it's so sweet :D You should look up some of the bloopers that they made for this film too! They have a bunch of animated bloopers and a whole short called Mike's Car which is just hilarious
I'm 33 and my daughter is about to be 2... re-watching movies now hit so differently, like the beginning of Tarzan, i know what's going to happen yet I weap so hard now... kids are the best, everyone deserves to love this much
i never noticed before Boo has a Jesse the cowgirl doll in her room. love those little easter eggs now im just imagining the jesse doo coming to life after boo is gone and what she was dooing.
There was also a Nemo easter egg, which was a hint to the next Pixar movie. And I just noticed this for the first time but when Mike is trying to get Boo in the wrong door where Randall is waiting to snatch her, on the wall in the bedroom is also a clown fish.
The thing the Abominable Snowman said about the kinds of kids in the village, including "kids who climb on rocks" was a reference to the Armour Hot Dogs jingle from the 60s.
“Hot dogs, Armour hot dogs, what kind of kids eat Armour hot dogs? Fat kids, skinny kids, kids who climb on rocks. Tough kids, sissy kids even kids with chicken pox love Armour hot dogs.”
The music composer Randy Newman won his first ever Oscar of his career for this film. He won Best Original Song for "If I Didn't have You" (which plays over the end credits), and it was his 16th nomination overall. He was also nominated for Best Original Score for this film but lost to LOTR: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING.
As it should be!
I remember watching this in theatres and many rewatches on VHS. Some of the older Pixar and Dreamworks CGI movies haven't aged well with the look of the human characters but the rest of the visuals were amazing breakthroughs.
Happy Furry Feature Friday Nat. The only thing scarier than the monsters is that fact that this movie is 25 years old! Holy Mike Wazowski! 😮 It's a lot of fun and I'm excited to watch it again with you 😊
Looking forward to this one, i think the last time i watched this was with my niece ans shes in her 20's now.
oh this is a nice surprise! Was this just pulled out of the blue or did I miss a poll? <3
I think it was the winner of an animation poll from Nat the other week.
