I'm still catching up, but I just want to say that this theme song, at least for me, got better and better with each episode. I didn't care for it at first either! I sing along each time now!
Nooo this is the best season opening theme! Also, pay attention to the opening clips.. it gives some good hints about Reiner and the gang.
I like the opening theme song, but admit that its vastly different from the previous ones so I can see why you're not a big fan lmao. Something about it reminds me of The Muse lol.

Hi Nat, just to be clear there’s 22 episodes this season, an even number, I think the extra one is just a recap episode that can be skipped
If you want more Levi watch the two Levi backstory episodes called “No Regrets.” They’re on there on Crunchyroll, many people myself included consider them must-watches for Levi and Erwin’s characters and relationship with each other
Man I absolutely love this opening, but maybe that's because I've seen the whole show. It's definitely different from the previous ones but I think its fitting because as you'll see the tone of this season has shifted a little bit too
The first opening is the best and is always going to be the most memorable.
Fortunately the wait between s2 to s3 was only a year.
yeah nah this opening is invariably the worst one. the visuals are great, but the song blows comparatively.
I think the intro is better on second viewing knowing the full context of the series. As a song on its own I think it's fine but not as good as the first 3, but combined with the imagery in context of the story I think it's so beautiful
Maybe the opening will grow on you. It’s definitely more chill than the others.
I really hope she watches the OVAs before s4.
if youre interested in levi's backstory, there is 2 bonus episodes that came out between season 1 and 2 called "a choice with no regrets" that wont spoil anything but it goes into how levi joined the survey corps and met erwin. def worth a watch, theyre both roughly the same amount of time as a regular episode of aot. and one more thing, this seasons op is great. watching it first time is jarring but as things move along, you learn to really love it.
I think the best place to watch them is right before starting s3. It makes an excellent bookend for the season

I love the fact that despite being humanity’s strongest soldier, Levi is an extreme germophobe.
Hey! Just a reminder that there is a post-credits scene after the midway point of Season 3 (episode 49), AFTER it says "To Be Continued..." But in order for it to have effect you need to be familiar with the credits song, so I would highly recommend you watch at least 3 or 4 of the end credits for this season. And just in case you forget which episode it is, it might be a good habit to just stick around the extra 1 minute for the credits this season anyway :)
