I know I’m a day late - regarding Ymir’s backstory, in the anime it’s one of those things that you retroactively understand more in the anime. In the manga we got this sequence much later, but when directing the anime it was decided that it was too much information being dropped in short span of time that they brought Ymir’s backstory a little forward, so it’s okay to not fully understand it as some of the contextual puzzle pieces haven’t been given to you yet
Compleeeetely forgot about Ymir’s backstory! Honestly I’ve probably forgot 90% of this show except for big moments, so I should stop mentioning it 😅 but I will say it’s intentionally vague and you understood everything you can at this point lol One thing anime is good for is having sooo many complicated characters. Dont you just looove when someone you like does something selfish or has questionable moral judgment 👄
It's implied that Ymir was turned into a titan. If you haven't noticed, any time a human transforms into a titan, there is yellow lightning. So those people who were arrested and pushed off that wall were implied to all turn into titans, including Ymir.
To be clear, Ymir was transformed into a Titan when she was kicked out of the wall. Before then, she was a normal human, but was the leader of a cult. She wandered outside the wall for 60 years as a pure titan. Aka, the dumb titans that act based on instinct.
the short haired blonde woman in ymir's flashback looked a lot like the titan i was talking about in ilse's notebook a few episodes back. idk if you read that but was just to give a bit of context on why hange reacted the way she did to ymir's name.
Did she even watch it?
Hell yeah
She got turned into a titan as punishment
Hey Nat, the YouTube link posted for episode 36 is the same as the link for episode 35. There isn't an episode 36 link...
Happy Titan Tuesday Nat. Hope you had an awesome weekend trip. Saw your footage of the concert at the Sphere. Man, that looked insane 😮😊 Excited to see what happens next in this show.
these reactions are so good, they have become one of the few things I look forward to every week
