When Mariko slipped into John's room I about shat. With the long black hair, dim lighting and silence I thought it was some kinda The Grudge demon shit kicking off.

I was also curious about the food, and it's something called Natto, it's made from fermented soybeans, boiled soybeans is wraps in rice straw which contains a bacteria which cause the fermentation.
It's basically just fermented soybeans. It definitely smells, but I think it tastes good. Just an acquired taste from another part of the world.

It was most definitely Mariko who slept with John. She's playing coy in the presence of others...it took John a moment to catch on, perhaps not fully understanding the danger of such a thing (even in another language).
I have heard such polarizing info about Damsel. I've heard it's "amazing" and I've heard it's "terrible" so I don't know, guess I'll let you decide
I think Toranaga's son made a pretty good move. Not only did he avoid showing the enemy the power of those cannons, he also made it much harder for Yabushige to betray them. There's no way Ishido and the other lords in Osaka would believe he didn't have a hand in killing Jozen and his men. Yabushige should have no other option than to fight with them now.
He definitely did show him the power of those cannons.

Loving shogun so far. But鈥ust wanna mention, invincible season 2 is back. Atom eve special is really good. Just saying
Shogun's run ends April 23rd. 10 Episodes. Season 2 of Invincible is on Episode 4, has 8 episodes and ends on April 4th. And Blue Eye Samurai is completely out, has 8 episodes and you could probably fit all 8 episodes in with Shogun, having a nice Japanese-themed month or so of Natalie Gold programming! Would also like to plug True Lies, Alita: Battle Angel and Dredd. And Event Horizon for a sci-fi scary show.
